I think Honda was referring to the fact that the inlet tube basically feeds directly into the pump inlet. This makes it really hard for the air to escape from the loop and into the res itself. Vapor had suggested to try sticking a large ziptie or something else that wasn't aluminum in to the res and placing it over the inlet to help divert the bubbles. Of course it is temporary and you want to make certain it doesn't get sucked into the pump.
