8gigs was the goal. I'm just going to pop my incoming 955 onto my current board and wait for this ram to get my AM3 setup going then.

Hi, so tried out these and am able to run it fine at 1.65V 6-6-5-18 (have not tweaked it more) at 1333. I can go upto 1450 using the fsb. But if I change the mem divider to 1:4 then I get a bios is corrupted issue with the msi gd70. I have upgraded to the latest bios v 1.5b4, but no help there either. I have moved memV upto 1.68-1.69, but still no help. Is there something I'm missing. This is with an unlocked 720be.

I've had good success getting my OCZ LV kit to run at tight 6-6-5 timings as well, but can't exceed 750MHz on my Phenom II and GD70. Some of these processors have awfully weak IMCs that seem to be holding ram clocks back a great deal. The X2 550 and X3 720 seem quite a bit worse than the higher end 955.

750 was the frequency hard wall limit that I couldn't pass regardless of timings. Best I could do at 6-6-5 was closer to 700MHz I believe (32M stable)
