My 9200 blades seem to want more than 1.80v to run at their rated speeds. Anybody else experiencing this?

Does this sound right if i'm at 1.840v for 1147mhz. Timings are 5-5-5-18-60-2t, pl 8.

For 1135 it was fine with 1.8... with the same timings

    This is using memtest 2.11.

Also, am I going to lead my ram to an early death by running at 1.84?

    Thnx.

1.84v from bios or from sensor?

because your motherboar has a little vdrop on ram, 1.8v from bios is 1.76 real...

I was wondering about that. That is a bios setting. So hopefully I'm right where I want to be.

I'll have to find the mobo read points and check it with my dmm.

Ok, well easytune6 hwmonitor says the ram is getting 1.856

    Everest says 1.86

    Bios is set to 1.84.

So my board is overvolting a little bit.

Then my question stands. Do you guys think it's safe to run it at this volatge, long term? It's at stock speed right now, 1150mhz.

OCZ EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) is a feature that allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 1.85V without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty.

however i don't know why your motherboard overvolt your ram , other user haver -0.04v vdroop :| ... i don't know i don't have your motherboard sorry ... but i think it's safe run your ram at 1.856v...

Those should do 1.9v without issue. Just put a finger on them to check the temp.

Yup, or you could also put an Antec Spot Cooler on them just to make sure they don't run hot

They don't feel warm while priming. Although they do have a 120mm med yate loon blowing across them from about 8 inches away.

Those should do 1.9v without issue. Just put a finger on them to check the temp.
That's good to hear, incase I get a bit brave.

The Platinums do run a little hotter though, I have a temp sensor in between the PCB and heatspreader in the middle of the PCB, idle is around 34c and load they will reach 46c. (No airflow over them...)

Though, the heatspreaders aren't *too* hot. (This is at 1.85v)

If putting 1.9v in them I'd put a fan over them, but I wouldn't worry about the Blades too much, they have a huge heatsink. I bought the 1150 Plats because I needed a low profile.

Looks like Amazon has them @ ~$105, still $45-$55 cheaper than the G.Skill's.

There is a reason it says "Usually ships within 1 to 3 months."

It seems to be 1.8v 9200 kits are gone forever, the best I can see is 9200 2.2v kits.

    Not worth a dam.
    These top out about 1.9-1.95v
    They are binned by voltage.
Cas4 results have been 900-1000 MHz
