No name chips can't reach configs like these.
I can't get mine to boot at 2Ghz on my DX58SO.. Definitely cannot run CL7 at 900 on 1.65Vram and 1.45QPI... Even using the XMP settings mine won't boot at 2000...

    I had my Trident's run through 32M superPI atm @ 1532 6-7-6-20 @ 1.5v/1.16vtt.
But after the run i noticed only 4gig of ram was detected, one of the sticks failed to work :/.
Edit: Even 1.65v won't work. Although, 7-7-6-20 seems to be working , @ 1.5v. But, with either tCL or tRCD at 6, regardless of vdimm and vtt it seems to be failing, but only on one of the sticks. I smell bad egg :<

Would CPU Voltage effect my ability to run the RAM at higher speeds? I cannot boot 180x10 1.65Vram 1.3QPI at 7-8-7-24 ? I can boot 8-8-8-24 at 1.62V 1.3QPI and 1.1 IOH (Do I need to up IOH at all?)

My CPU is stable at 3.78Ghz (180*21) @ 1.184 Vcore

But I cannot boot this ram @ 2000 even with default timings on my board..

For stability test, I prefer Prime on blend test.

That was bad news, BBSE Tridents can reach 1.9Ghz CL7 easily.

To run @ 2Ghz with that Tridents maybe you would need more QPI voltage. Set your memory at that speed it's harder when you system is overclocked, the increase of BCLCK makes the uncore (and the IMC) run at higher clocks.

Try tu use high multiplier for you CPU, set your memory at 9-9-9-24, and give the VTT more voltage.

What is a safe limit on the QPI Voltage ?

Right now I am running 9-9-9-24 (XMP Profile) but @ 900 Mhz instead of 1000. I have been running prime for approx 12 hours CPU @ 3.7 Ram @ 900 and no errors. CPU is set at 1.25Vcore (CPU-z Shows 1.18) ram is still at 1.65v and QPI was at 1.45 but I lowered it to 1.3. I ran memtest on the ram last night to ensure there were no errors and it can back clean.

I am starting to suspect that my motherboard may be the issue. Is the Gigabyte UD5 a good board to use? I don't want to spend all that much money and its really the only somewhat afford one of the group.

    Edit:

I got them to post at 1000Mhz but I had to up QPI to 1.5 nothing below that would post.. What does that indicate?

Here is what mine look like from the side. I can't tell which ones I have but I doubt its the BBSE unless my MOBO hates tight timings..

Definitely 1.5V VTT voltage it's too much for a 24/7 config. Whats your uncore frequency??

The only config I could get these to boot in was 10xRam Multiplier and 20xUncore with 200Mhz FSB 1.65Vram and 1.5QPI ..

But same settings 10x180 would not post.. I am going to RMA the set and pick up the Mushkin XP3-12800 Redline which are supposed to have the BBSe's in (keep my fingers crossed).

Also when switching Mobo's I am looking between the DFI, UD5, or P6T Deluxe V2? Any opinions on which one would be the best?

Your problems are most likely with the Uncore and IMC, not the RAM.
    For the motherboards I'd say DFI > P6T, UD5.

    .....

Finally figured out what were wrong with my dimm channels as one dropped out on C6. And I blamed the poor sticks. :<
Trident's currently running at 1600mhz 6-7-6-20 @ 1.53volt linX stable. Not bad sticks for 120euro tbh!

ughh my 3rd channel keeps dropping out on this overclock, not sure why. It happened after i OC'd my CPU, when i had the CPU at stock, it passed 2 hours of memtest.

    This is my OC:

    QPI/Vtt 1.275
    IOH Core 1.1
    Dram 1.64

    QPI PLL 1.1
    IOH I/O 1.5
    ICH Core 1.1
    Dram Term 0.75
CH-A Data (all other channel voltages similar to this) 0.75

This stuff looks fantastic for the price (less than 1/2 the cost of corsair here), gonna pick up some tomorrow and see how it goes!

First hour with Gskill Trident 2000mhz kit

First overclock on these and not bad for 8x 32M Pi @DDR3-2124Mhz 9-9-9-24 1T at 1.72v. Asus P6T6 WS Revolution bios sets latencies pretty tight so good pi performance even for Win7 OS

Both 8x 32M Pi and single 32M Pi runs done in same windows session.

Wonderful memory these Tridents are. New personal best cpuz memory validation and first time breaking DDR3-2300Mhz for triple channel on X58 @DDR3-2305Mhz 9-10-9-24 1T at 1.78v. Previous best was @DDR3-2298Mhz 9-9-9-24 with 3GB Samsung HCF0 modules.

    System:

    Max Validation @DDR3-2305Mhz 9-10-9-24 1T at 1.78v

    QPI/DRAM = 1.65625v
    VDIMM = 1.78v
    Uncore frequency = 4608Mhz

    Super Pi 2M @DDR3-2256Mhz 9-10-9-24 1T at 1.78v
