Hey guys, well I'm here in sunny Queensland and it is lovely. Start work tomorrow. Still trying to find a house but I suppose that'll take time to find something that suits me! Hoping that Pegasus can be up and running asap, but all depends on things getting repaired/replaced and when he arrives here! Just thought I'd keep in touch with you all!

I would like to see you keep the bottom of the Heatkiller Copper and Nickel everything else.Copper is a better heat conductor than Nickel and IMHO you take something away from it when you cover it,besides nobody will be able to see bottom of block anyway. That is one sweet rig you have and keep up the good work.

she nickel plated the bottom of the block as well. i dont think it'll make *that* much difference being nickel plated or not.

Dream, what ever happened to the fan controller? So far the sunbeam rheobus extreme I use is running 6 high power/ cfm fans pretty good. Only problem is that it comes in blue. Which I had to mod to red.

There are several things I like about your build:

1. The name (unique and refreshingly different)
2. The acrylic plate you had made
3. The dye in your water loop -- who would have though purple could look so good?
4. your pictures really capture the spirit of the build
5. that it is taking 7 months you said? That inspires me for my build because I lost a PSU... So I'm anxious and upset that I can't show the progress off.

Edit: I noticed you have a ROG board too (sweet!). Did you turn on the CPU temp monitor in your BIOS? I think that would help if overheating ever happens again...

Hey Vinas, this build is now 9 months in the making, but only because I've moved from one side of Australia to the other right when I broke it and that has slowed me down a lot. I am still waiting for the motherboard to come back from repair so I can start putting it back together. I don't want to use fan controllers ever again! I am going to go with either the Aquaero or the Koolance TMS-200, but I think because the Aquaero has more channels it will suit this build better. It is just a matter of fitting it somewhere!

Went alright, it was just hideously expensive. Not sure how I'm going to afford the TMS-200/Aquaero but I suppose that's what credit cards are for

well... if you have any experience in electronics, you could build your own fan controller using the parts you have from your broken scythe... linky... To make it look nice you can drill holes in a project box and holes in your drive bays then put it in there. Its a lot cheaper and you can also test it if your not sure. all you need to know is how to solder...

Could always run it with fan controllers till you get the extra money, or just break out the plastic.

haha i wouldnt either. Im thinking of doing the second thing that i posted, which can be put onto a fan extension and then hooked up to a fan. that is pretty easy just a little soldering and cutting into a project box...
