    Not sure why that happens.
    What CPU is it?

And on another note here are a few new things I'm working on:
    Mini mode:

    Exclamation Bug for me

    Hi,

this great little program compelled me to register to report a bug I find anonying. please bear with me...

when I run with CNQ on in Vista, CoreTemp frequency detection gets all messed up...

this is the frequency the program shows for all 4 cores when it is suppose to be at "800MHz (199.99 x 4.0) (verified by CPU-Z) and not the above "2999.9MHz (749.98 x 4.0)."

Sequence that reproduces the wrong frequency reporting:

    1) run with CNQ disabled. frequency reporting is fine.
    2) run with CNQ enabled. program detects CNQ is enabled and changes to correct frequency at lowest power state (800MHz).
    3) pressing the builtin refresh functions messes up the frequency detection to what is pictured above. Subsequent refreshes doesn't remedy the problem.
    4) disable CNQ and now the program displays "11249.65 (749.98 x 15.0)." Enable CNQ and it goes back to displaying what is pictured above. Refreshing when CNQ is disabled will correct the problem and will display "2999.90MHz (199.99 x 15.0)."

    my system:

    Vista with latest updates
    Phenom II X4 940
    Foxconn A79A-S with latest BIOS
    CoreTemp 0.99.3, CoreTemp 0.99.4 beta build 75 & CoreTemp 0.99.5 beta build 6

Yes, this is a known issue.
I'm actually trying to figure out a way to fix this. Hopefully soon.

In previous versions up to 0.99.5 build 6 I was able to start the app but the frequency was incorrectly detected. (AMD X2 Brisbane BE) But now with the latest build 11 I can't even start the app, it shows an error message which I attached here. 64bit version, OS is vista x64 ultimate SP2 v113.

    Yes, it's due to this:

I just want to make sure everything works properly before I go and ask for the driver to be signed, this is why I've uploaded it this way.

Works fine with Phenom II X3 720BE on Win7 64bit.
    =)

Now, if AMD just fixed Deneb's temp sensor. The offset to software reading is clearly more than 10°C based on my measuments with a k-type sensor on a DMM.
    *shakes fist at AMD*

    edit:
Looks like the label "Freq. #2:" for X3's core#2 is missing:

Could you please press F3 (system information) and post a screenshot? I haven't had a chance to test it on a Phenom yet.

Actually, the label "Freq. #2:" is where it's supposed to be when the app launches, but it disappears if I double-click-minimize the app and then return to the normal view.

The label problem is rather funny, but it'll be fixed in the next release.
The default frequency part is problematic. BE Phenoms don't have a maximum multiplier, so Core Temp currently uses the P0 state values..
I guess that it's not a good idea doing things this way. I'll try to search for an alternative.
    Thanks

Strange, seems like it crashes on some AMD systems.
Final8ty, does it crash on your P-II 955? Or do you have some other system that it doesn't work on?

    Only have this system.
The 99.5 beta (biuld20) is fine.

Not working on my system either, 99.5.20 works fine (what I'm using now).

EDIT: was trying the 64-bit edition.
