    hello,

    want to now why the cores under prime95 are getting different test numbers?

    for example finishing a 20K test, core0 may take 15, core 1 take 11, core2&3 take 14

    where core 0 , 2, 3, usually are variable

    Hey guys, what were your MCH core voltages running at when you did your record runs at 4.7ghz+? I've not had mine over 1.46v I think...

    I bench till 1,56, for 24/7 i run 1,46 , i need it to push the gskills on PL8 on tight timmings on 1200 and over (2x2GB PC29600 PI)

    LinuxFan: at 1:1 mem I was using 1.460vmch, but only ran 3dmark 06 successfully. Failed SuperPI. Need more than 1.46v for any stability.

    Thanks for the help on the MCH voltages, never knew that... hopefully I can get a better clock when i raise that, I wasn't sure how far I could go and didn't want to burn it up..

    Yeah I figured I need some nice airflow on it when I run it that high... there's going to be good airflow through it all, I have many fans to go with the WCing setup, I think it'll be ok there. Don't think I"ll pull off the plate for the NB though, would it help the fans cool it a lot?

    Yes, Hoss is right, the blue cover on the nb just stops air from hitting the HS. A hair dryer helps to soften up the 2 sided tape, came off fairly easy once heated.

    different time for finishing the test should be normal right?

    but how about the number of test?

    like i run small fft, if 3 cores take 16 tests to finish a 20k test, the other one take 15, would there be any problem? or meaning unstable?

    I replaced the old window unit behind my pc, got a 6500btu unit now blowing on the rad. This is still a hot running cpu but think I will be able to oc a little higher now. Ran a few minutes of 8k to test temps.

    thanks, i just made mistake in all post

    i tried vmch 1.4v for 4.4 ghz, no luck, i will try the advanced clock setting then

    but when i was trying 4.3 and 4.33, 1000/1000 give me the best result

    I still think your temps are to high and not letting it pass. How much memory are you selecting for your IBT runs? If I remember right, you said your vid is 1.225? Heres a 20 pass run on my xeon (1.225 vid) with max mem at 4.4 and ram 1:1. Its late so I didnt have time to play with the voltages but I can probably go lower on some, in particular mch if I ran it at cas 5 and PL 9 instead. Ambient was 25c and temps came up to high 60s.

    Unfortunately not all the C batches are amazing, just like with any other batches.

    I've seen three L847C187 in the past week and the 'best' VID was 1.2625V and the worst was 1.300V.

    None were good at anywhere near 4400 without over 1.5V and they sucked

    The consistent C at the moment seems to be L847C037 which I have seen mentioned in a few places.
