    how should i get stable?

also why do the vcore keep changing from 1.344v to 1.360v then 1.344v in cpu-z when under prime95 load

    thanks!!!

As far as getting it stable, try raising the CPUterm or MCH and see if that helps. Its all just a game at this point to see what voltage movement will get it stable.

You have vdrop from teh board thats why it is showing different in bios than idle. You also have vdroop when the load is placed on the CPU. Nothing you can do about that since you already have LLC enabled.

    thanks for your help!

i know about the vdrop but not vdroop anyway i know it now, thanks

i have been getting errors on 1 or 2 cores in prime95 start from vcore 1.375 to 1.3875 so i guess the vcore should be pretty enough right?

the remaining thing i need to do is to raise mch voltage and cputerm?

    thanks

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    I give up!
I've got a unique retarded wall at 1000mhz memory speed. Tried two sets of ram. One which worked up to 1200mhz before. But there's nothing i can do to get it stable at even 1066 or 1100.

argh! Useless memory controller/mobo peculiarity. Final result: E8400 @ 4ghz and 4gb ram at 1000mhz...or 8gb since I have an extra set of ram. what a waste!

I have one of those boards, my favorite ddr2, because it's like the UD3P WITHOUT the ram/dividers issues.

This board will only fly after you perform this simple mod: EP45-Extreme Vdoop Mod

I'm with ya Nugzo, the EP45-UD5 will keep me off upgrading till the Intel i9 comes.

This will also be the mobo I will choose for my first LN2/DICE run

So STASIO any words on when this baby will hit the stores (September or October)?

I'm having issues with the raid manager. When I hit Ctrl+I nothing happens, but the rest of the machine seems to boot up just fine, I can manage bios, load windows, etc. I have never had this issue before, is there something that would lock out the raid manager?

    I've got the following:
    Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
Intel Core 2 E6600 + a huge heatsink and fan for overclocking
    Gskill PI 4GB Kit (2x2048MB) PC8800 1100MHz

By default this cpu runs at 2.66 Ghz and I am wanting to overclock it, I've tried overclocking it and it works fine, but I dont think its working at its optimal performance as I think the ram is running at 800Mhz...

So I'm just wanting some help with what settings I need to change in regards to overclocking the cpu, setting up the correct ram settings and anything else I need to change like voltages or anything...

What sort of speed should I be able to overclock the E6600 to? I want it to be stable.

I'd eventually like to upgrade to a E8400/E8500 and overclock that, but don't have the money at the moment, would there be alot of difference between the 2 cpus?

    Thanks for your help.

    Dave.

I had a play around with this last night, had the cpu multiplier set to 8 and the fsb set to 457Mhz, set pci buss at 100Mhz. For the ram I set that at 2.40D I think off memory, which had the ram running at 1099Mhz...

I exit bios and restart, go back into bios to check settings, it says cpu is running at 3.66Ghz and ram at 1099Mhz.

I boot up to windows and everything is fine, I downloaed CPU-Z and it said the cpu was running at 2779Mhz... I also downloaded CoreTemp and that had the core temp of each core at 35C and the cpu was going between 2779Mhz and 3660Mhz

    Anybody got any ideas?

And also how do a get a screen dump of the bios settings to post in here? is there a txt file in windows or something?

    Cheers,
    Dave

SOunds like you have C1E or EIST enabled. you might want to disable that in the bios. or just put it underload and it will crank up to your OC numbers.

as would i like to know how to post thedump of the bios settings? log?file txt somewhere?

I finally managed to get the system reasonably stable at 533MHz with low volts on the EP45-UD3L
    http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/8...33lowvolts.gif

But I can't go further. 540MHz crashes loading windows and 550MHz doesn't even finish the POST.
Do you guys have any advice?

would like to know if i put the 4890 into the second pci-e slot, it only runs 8x right?

because i am thinking to buy a wc set for the ud3 series(2x mosfet, nb, sb)

would waste the sb block because 4890 blocks it

Does anyone know why I can't get over 450fsb stable? I looked at many of the templates that people have posted and none of them seem to work for me. Using F10e bios and a rev 1.0 UD3P. No matter the mch voltage / references / clock skew I always get a bsod

    Currently using a Q9550 and a 6x multi

where abouts are the C1E and EIST?

I looked at some posts above and can see them in the Advanced Bios Settings, but I can't find that in my bios... would a bios update fix that and give me those features?

    thanks

because i can get the cooler set at a cheap price

which is equal to a nb block plus 2 cooling product for the mosfet

i will just consider more then

    thanks

just now a strange thing happen

on a bios optimized system, i get a bsod, didnt get all the information, but see a gdrv.sys

i google it and it seems to be a driver of giga software?

i uninstalled all the giga program now, but the gdrv.sys under C:/Windows is still here, do i need to delete it myself?

i am sure my ram are ok so the bsod should be related to the software
