about time
but didn't they once say this would never exist?

there're already black ice gtx 280 (2x140) and 420 (3x140) radiators ...
imo, black ice and thermochill are about as opposite as radiators can get. Bout time a low fin density radiator came out, besides Feser's overpriced stuff
The only problem I see with 140mm rad's (besides the size ofc) is the lack of good 140mm fans. Or have I missed something?
Killer thread btw.
Well 140mm GTs dont exist but I should have noted that noise level of these 14cm yates is comparable to 1850rpm GTs (sidebyside compare)
Correct. I don't care what anyone says atm but there are no decent 1500-2000rpm fans. You have the full blown insano 40dba+ fans and then you have the silent ones which don't do it for me. I guess we have to wait until 140mm becomes more common in case design so that manufacturers have a valid reason to start producing a wider range of 140mm fans.
These are in stock now at sidewinder for those that are interested.

so what the best fans for pa140.3? Yate loon D14SM14, any other choice?

just hooked up my d14sm14 to my fan controller - very very nice, exceptionally quiet even at full speed actually, for 5 fans it sounds like 2 120mm M's and thats being harsh
main question here, how much rpm will be good for this rad, or how much cfm
i can get scythe maru 1,200rpm 26.58dBA 61.30CFM, is it ok or d14sm14 would be better?
and 1000 rpm won't be efficient to use, or i may include 1000 rpm in my search also?

You might want to double check those. I'm not sure those Scythe Maru fans would work with a 140mm-based radiator.
The reason why is because those Maru fans have mounting hole spacing that is the size of a 120mm fan, not a true 140mm fan.
As a result I don't think it will mount to a 140mm-based rad as the hole spacing would be all wrong.
From the Maru's specs:
Features:
* 140mm Fan with 120mm Screw Holes
Compatibility for 120mm case fan holes to be the versatile 140mm case fan in the market.

here... I just assumed on the nomenclature, I didn't check it sorry: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=20771
may be it was already said, but perfomace-pcs will not offer Termochill anymore - I wanted to buy 140.3 there![]()
