Paul - I remember this post: the white drive cage came right back to me!
A big thanks for bringing this back to the front burner for me as I faded to black on your original post right after painting of the interior.
WOW!There are a ton of great ideas for me to follow along with here.
I'm also a blue LED fan guy and have all the right parts in my bin to replace the red 230MM baby at the front. It's also neat to see the AeroCool fan in the rear - I went there too! The good news for me is I won't need to get any first hand experience with Rosewill for the side panel (also going AeroCool blue LED there).
Made sure to bookmark your build log so I can come back to it at a moment's notice. Thanks again!!!![]()

I hope you find what you are looking for. If not, ask!
Loonym...You are missed.
The element of one
Breathe me in
Breathe me in
I disbelieve in separation. I close my eyes to see you.
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
I, I disbelieve separation. I close my eyes
there's no escaping me
This is for you, everything I am. This is for you, take it from me.
In your heart in your soul. I perceive rejuvenation
Breathe me in. I am forever. Deep within I am eternal.
I will return to you. I am with you always. I will never turn away from you.
Also, as a heads up for people, despite the fact that CM said it wouldn't happen when they first released the HAF, a 230x200mm fan w/ blue LED's has been listed under their parts section for a while now. Link
P.S. - Sorry if this is old news. :P Also just saw CM's mid-tower incarnation of the HAF for the first time...and man is that thing hideous.

Bravoexo,
Your white HAF is amazing looking! Did you do anything special before you painted your plastic HD retainers (i.e wet sand, primer)? What type of paint did you use? I'm thinking about painting mine. Not certain of the best route. Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks, CptDreadFlint. No special treatment, just three heavy coats. Its just flat white lacquer, I think.
you guys going to make me spend money and get this case
but i do have a question with the parts i have ( IN SIG ) will everything fit
in this case without any problems .cause this cosmos 1000 is great it big
but no wire management this is why i want this case i dont see people really
modding the HAF , mostly a paint job
Thanks Roger

Surfhick - Very sweet!
I really like the effect of the black background with a contrasting color on the HAF drive cages. I'm leaning toward satin black for the interior with anodized blue for the drive cages.
Now for the important stuff: I'm a total noooob when it comes to liquid cooling and am just absorbing all that I can at this point.
Can you help me out with the specifics for the top mounted radiator, 3 rad fans and the CPU block in your 932? And, what kind of pump? [yea, it's the noooob thing . . .] Thanks!![]()

I really like the idea of black with anodized blue drive cages. Can you do that? I thought that it is steel. I wanted to do that with my old Antec 900. I'm going to have them powder coated candy blue instead.
For the water cooling: I used a Swiftech triple radiator. I believe any radiator with standard 120 mm hole spacing will work. I was looking at Thermochills but the hole spacing was off. I THINK I read where they have a new version with the correct spacing now. Emphasis on I THINK I read that. Even the ones with incorrect hole spacing will fit but you will have to drill some holes.
I got a used Apogee Xtreme waterblock off the forums.
I saw the Primochill reservoir and liked how the pump mounts to the back of it. Later when I water my video card I only have to add another block and radiator and more tubing. I looked and looked for a res that had a fill port that matched the one in the case but couldn't find one. That would have been so cool.
I'm using the Swiftech MCP 655 pump.
1/2"-G 1/4 barbs and 7/16 ID x 5/8 OD tubing.
I read about dyes being bad for loop so I just lined my tubes with an anti-kink coil. Only took 1 from Primochill. They come in 40" lengths.
I got the radiator/fan combo from Petras Tech Shop. The fans are Yate Loons and you can pick from slow, medium and high speed fans. The Swiftech radiator (MCP 320?) works well with the slower fans and costs a lot less than some of the others. Figured it was a good price since it, at least, save me $10.00 shipping from buying the fans in a separate order. I got Enermax fans to put on top. I highly doubt I needed them but I like the orange colored blades. I wanted some red on top but too many LEDs would ruin it. Make it look like a tricked out car in a third world country.
This is overkill I'm sure but I have some headroom to expand. Add an extra loop, add to the loop(s), go core i7, overclock or whatever.
Surfhick - Thanks for the specifics on your liquid cooled HAF932!
I've saved these notes and will be reading back through them to absorb the details of your really sharp build.
I"m a pathetic nooob with liquid cooling, but the amazing amount of space inside the 932 case alone is just begging for it.
I need to line out the pieces which will be needed and then pick the best of breed for an i7 920 overclocked build. Motherboard will likely be either EVGA X58 Classified or ASUS X58 Rampage II Extreme.
I'll post a build log once I have everything in hand and start the build of my HAF.![]()
i have got to get me one of these. microcenter here has them on sale right now for $119 gonna try and squeeze one out...

HAF 922 2 200mm red led fans 1 200mm black fan 1 120mm rear fan
Thats why I did it. I was putting it together and looking at all that space. Especially how the top or bottom are just made for a radiator. I was excited about my new case and going throught the forums looking at other people's builds. I didn't have to hurry tis build as I have other computers. So I figured I would give it a try. Did lots of reading and then started collecting the parts.
It has been fun. The most fun I've ever had building a computer. Much more rewarding than just collecting parts and putting them together.
Thats a great price. I got mine from an etailer on sale and with free shipping and it was still a little more. I wouldn't compare it to my Stacker 830 quality wise but I paid so much for that I'm not going to touch it. The HAF is still a good quality case with lots of potential for a person to customise it.

thanks m8,
i've never touched the exterior, that is stock. I've only painted the interior with mat black.
here's some photo of my worklog, nuthin' special, but i think that can be usefull or at least interesting
- completely disassembled, sanded and stick taped, ready to be painted:
- first coat of primer:
- sanded for the second time and second coat of primer:
- all cleaned up and first coat of mat black:
- the firs coat is done. Cleaned everything and start with the second coat:
- reassembling:
- mountin' the hardware in:
- a lil' bit of cable management. This is temporary 'cause i'm gonna sleeve all the cables as soon as i can:
- finished. Mounted the dfi flame freezer:
Next steps are cable sleeving and liquid cooling, but i have to wait for some cash.
Hope you like it,
bye from Italy and sorry for my english.
.::NeO::.
Now painted! Not the best paintjob, but my first one ever, some little flaws here and there, but I'm proud I've done it myself
