    i love ud5....

    i am stable with:

4ghz cpu at 1.232v under load
    1600mhz cl8 ram with 1.63v
    3200mhz uncore with 1.28v-qpi

250cicle of linx with 95% of rm used during the test.

    impossible with a p6t v2 i have tryed....

Those voltages are really good man..

Although my rig doesn't see all installed memory, I am stable @ 4GHz with 1.264v under load (this is just CPU-z though, I don't know where to take the readings with a multimeter) RAM @ 1528MHz with 1.64v (I haven't really tried lowering VDimm tbh) and 1.355v QPI, I have tried for lower Vcore and QPI, but anything lower than this causes BSOD's after a couple of passes of linX..

Is that a typo in your post?

Surely you don't let LinX run for 250 passes?!?!

20 passes is plenty imo.. I like to check my overclocks by running 20 passes of LinX using all available RAM, then leave Prime95 Blend Test running overnight, and then I let 3d Mark Vantage run around 10 loops, if it is stable after that, then I am happy...

with i7 plattform, more depends by cpu.....

    bad cpu= bad voltage's
    good cpu= good voltage's

i have tryed more i7 920 with more difference one by one.... more than older core2duo

    im sure....250 linx passes

250 passes is overkill imo, I would imagine doing 250 runs of LinX to check for stability would probably do the processor more harm than good...

It must take ages for it to complete 250 passes??

My rig takes 37 minutes to do 20 passes using 3000MB of RAM.. I'm sure I read somewhere online that Intel themselves recommend 20 passes of Linpack at the very most to check for stability, and 5 passes minimum...

To each their own I suppose, I certainly wouldn't want to do anymore than 20 passes..

Also, I know that each processor is different, and that some require less voltage for higher overclocks than others...

Though, the voltages that my processor requires aren't half as bad as some others I have seen online.. there is a guy from another forum with a D0 that he needs to give 1.375v for 4GHz... that is a lot of voltage for a D0.. I haven't seen anyone else online that needs this much Vcore.. he said that his processor needs that much voltage to be stable..

hello, Andrea, same here :: Linx Prime stable @2,32 VID

LINX-I think 75 passes are mor ethan enough , a lot of people do just 20,25 passes. Cheers
