I actually bent some pins (well I actually 'raised' or pulled them) on my motherboard when I did a resit and man...its soooooo obvious when its done :O.
Anyway, I was able to position them so that the CPU would push em back down and so far (a month later) all is good (though I touch wood lots, and cross everything).
I still agree Blunt, gotta be a mem controller problem and not a UD5 problem.
In the 15 or so motherboards I have owned through time, this is probably the best board of the lot but I guess its down to what you want it for!?

Actually my first UD5 came with 1 bent pin in the CPU socket, and as soon as I removed the protective cover from the socket to install my CPU the first thing I saw was the bent pin...
I mean, when you have 1366 pins that are all in line with each other, if one of them is bent out of place, your eyes get immediately drawn to it!!
I know 100% it isn't bent pins in my socket, but when you come on these forums and people say "have you checked for bent pins?" it makes me think, well maybe there is some pins that are out of line, so I go and remove my cooler, and processor and then spend 10 minutes staring at the socket from all different angles looking for any bent or out of line pins!!!
Also people saying that the processor isn't seated properly makes me try and reseat it again, even though I have done this a billion times already!!
I really wish that it was something as simple as a bent pin, or my processor not being seated properly, but with everything I have done thus far with this system, I know it is neither of these two things..
Because my system used to see all 6GB, and I didn't do anything at all to it to make it only see 4GB, I just powered it up one day to find it only saw 6GB, I wasn't tinkering with BIOS settings or nothing...
I have to agree with you Johnny, that the UD5 is an excellent mobo, I love mine to bits, I just need to get this problem sorted out so that I can get the most out of my new rig...
I just hope that the replacement CPU I get will be a good overclocker!!!
