You will need to talk to the GTX 295 king.

I myself run 8 threads of WCG on ea of my I7 920, and 4 threads on my q9550...adding in a Xeon W3520 tonight or tomorrow as well. Also I am running 1-2 GTX 275's per rigs. You will also want to bump up your shaders from stock if you havent already, keep in mind with Folding you cant run shaders as high as you can on other stuff. I am not sure what the guys are running the 295's @.

Hopefully the GTX 295 king will chime in soon to help you out more

I'm not the 295 king but I do believe that GPU2 is tied to the HDMI port on the 295 not the second DVI port.

Anyone with a gtx 295 becomes the king sooner or later. =p

Anyways, I got both of my gpus folding on mine today. Sparky is correct, gpu 0 = dvi and gpu 1 = hdmi.
I used a 2nd monitor anyways so I bought a cable with one side being hdmi and the other dvi.. works like a charm.

Yeah they're only making 1000. I'm not sure about Asus these days....

Evga should make their own version like Asus.

There's no way they will only make 1000. Maybe for this "special edition" but if it really performs that much better, they're going to release a normal version of it that has the exact same specs just not a collectors edition. These are beastly though. I was watching a video of it playing far cry 2 on a 3840 x 2160 screen with out problem. Made me want a 3840 x 2160 screen more than the card haha.

I am using 32 bit Unbuntu

I just followed the install manual on the website. You have to run it in terminal as it seems they still haven't got a installer program up yet. They have all the commands there to get it going.

It seems it is folding and it picked back up where I left off when I shut it down last night. My major concern is if it is reporting. I figure i will give it another couple of days and then go try to find some report logs.

Alright, maybe you guys can help me out with this. I just went looking trying to tell if my F@H is posting. I am running WCG on this and that seems to be working, but seeing i was running WCG on the CPU, I thought F@H runs on the GPU. I started to read more a F@H and now I am worried that I can only fold on the GPU in windows, not in Linux.

    Is this true?

There is a way to run F@H on the GPU in linux via WINE I believe, someone made a post how to do it in this section..... Let me go look for it.

Well there is this thread on the folding forums, 23 pages long.... might help?

Also, maybe PM shadowtester, he runs linux and GPUs under it as well I'm pretty sure.

Thanks Sparky. I'm trying to do this rig on the cheap, so not spending another $100 on another copy of windows is great. This is also my first time playing with Linux

You could also get the win7 RC for free if you like. It will expire next march but hey it would get you started. Could install it in a billion systems too if you wanted

I'd go that route because I tried linux and failed miserably

Yea, seems I may have to. I started to read that thread and seems the are focusing on Nivida where I decided to got ATI for this build. That may serve to be a problem since I am new to Linux and don't know my way around it yet.

I'll read some more of it tomorrow, and may pm Shadowtester too, but seems I may be SOL

It sucks too, seeing WCG seems to be chugging away just fine

Well I went ahead and got rid of Linux and DLed Windows 7 RC. It now seems everything is working right. I got F@H running on the GPU and WCG running on the CPU. I'll let this run and check to see if it is posting later on. :crosses fingers: .
