    on a lighter note

i am really starting to like my board

if she can repeat this with a 25xmulti now that would be nice

maxmem will stabilise at even higher clocks but i dont think my chip has the legs to run that high on LN2

i can only imagine how high 2:12 or higher ratio will clock this RAM.....scary hehehe

    very nice run dinos!
is it the right voltage you use to run that mems at 2:10? (E-Leet)
why the cpu pll vcore is edited?
what's the correct value you set in bios with that cpu pll vcore?

    thanks!

Both of us experienced almost the exact same symptoms...very short into a benching session (less than 5 min for me), the system locked up during a wPrime32M run. The board has not booted since...all I get is FF post code.

Matt's experience was almost identical...within about 10 minutes of his session, he locked up during a wPrime32M run, and he has mot posted with the board since. He is also only able to get a FF post code.

I was very curious about this strange situation, and I started looking for similarities in our setup. Both of us were running on LN2, and both of us were running wPrime32M. Both of us were running Elpida Hyper mem (6GB for Matt, 3GB for me). I was running a W3580 ES, he was running a i7 960 ES.

Then something caught my eye...both of use were using two high amperage 60x38mm fans to cool our mem...both of use were running them off the mobo's headers. I was running Deltas rated at 1.2A...his stuff is not accessible right now, so we have not been able to verify his...but I'm pretty sure they are similar to mine.

So I was looking at this thread on the eVGA forums:
    http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=100563466
and noticed the OP says that the max current draw for each header is 1.0-1.2A Looks like that may have been the problem for both of us.

    So my questions are:
Do you think this is the cause of the problem?
And, is there a way I fix it?

    Thanks
sorry to hear that man, where's jake your buddy when u need him?

can u try opening up the bios rom cage, press down hard on the rom dont let go and power up doing that?>

i dont know why but my board is acting a bit odd when it comes to CPU PLL

when i flip that xcool switch thing selecting 1.8v in bios still results in 1.35v which is normal apparently but i switched it back to default position and i still get 1.335v on dmm and it shows nothing in windows

havent seen anyone take screens with a volt blanked out like that
    i dont care though
    the board works ok lol

btw all the volts are checked with DMM
    why do you ask?

Hey people! I have a few question. Im going to buy a Classified but I have doubt in wich one I should buy, the 760 or the 759? I know the principal difference is that the 759 has de NF200, but there are any other differences? Wich would be the best for OC and in your personal experience wich one gives you the best result and less troubles in general?

Also... a Prolimatech Megahalems can fit in?

Thanks for all! When I get the mother I will post some results

PD: Sorry for my bad english.

Having trouble getting my 920 stable at 4.3GHz.
It went real easy to 4.2GHz, but 4.3 has been a problem.

every time i up it to 4.3 it will prime for a couple of minutes, but every time i get a BOSD with the error "a cpu interrupt was not received on a second processor in the time allotted"
My max temp rages from 62 - 72 when stressed depending on the core.

I have tried upping the voltages a couple of notches, but no luck.
This is my first i7, so i am learning as i go. I figure there is something easy i am missing that is holding me back, any help would be appreciated.

I have tried upping the voltages to:
    CPU Vcore = 1.2375
    ICH Vcore = 1.1
    QPI PLL = 1.2
    IOH Vcore = 1.2
    CPU VTT = 1.375

here is stable at 4.2GHz. (RAM is relaxed to eliminate any problems with it)

    Thanks,

Hello everyone... I've just about decided to get one of these boards, but I want to put it in my current case designed for standard size ATX boards. The classified is an EATX board but it appears it's just a bit bigger than standard ATX boards. Will the screw holes line up in the case assuming the board would physically fit?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Ahh, well, ok

I thought it was something more complicated than that Why would it come lose like that all of a sudden if it worked before though, or I guess it could have just been fluke it did work before and eventually from moving and bumping the board it goes a bit loose.

By the way, do you have any updates on an upcoming BIOS?

    Thanks,
i upped the cpu vcore to 1.2625 and VTT to 1.4. It no longer BOSD, but it still fails LinX.

I guess this means the chip just needs more volts.
There is quite a steep increase in volts from 4.2 to 4.3.
Does this happen on most i7s?

My D0 has an extremely steep increase in volts after ~4.2GHz. I can reach 4.2 with about ~1.27V but 4.473GHz requires ~1.4V at load to be LinX/Prime stable.

Whats going on? I'm due to receive my x58 Classified along with my i7 920 tommorrow and I've got a couple of questions...

First, will the red sata ports (or the ones that are on a separate controller) run a Raid array? are they bootable?

Second, and I've scoured the internets for an answer to this one, will this board run crossfire? I know x58s are supposed to sport both but EVERYWHERE i've read they only talks about 2 or 3 way SLI, or SLI + physx...I just need to know if that's a feature this board supports. It's going to be a minute before I can cough up the cash for some 285s and I need to know if I'm in for some disappointment when I plug in a couple of WCed 4870s tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for the answers...and KaptainBlazzed, nice etek in the sig, more of a DM/PM guy myself but regardless, not a bad setup. Dirty south means SE USA...played any CFOA?

On the first, I don't know for sure since I do not use those ports but yes at boot the JMicron controller tried to detect drives so I would guess whatever is connected there should be bootable.

On the second, yes, the board will run CrossFireX. I ran two 4850's on it just a few days ago for some testing. X58 natively supports CrossFireX.

    Guys,
I have a 760 with a 920 C0/C1 chip (quite a cruel joke, btw - just bought it and quite some bad luck to get a C0. Didn't know importance of D0). Trying to get to 4.2 eventually, but at 4.0 for the moment and stable (IntelBurnTest maximum burn with many runs, superpi, benchmarks, etc.) except one thing - sometimes, like entering a game, a USB (such as my G15 keyboard) will disconnect and reconnect. This does not occur at stock. I suspect it could be due to one of my voltages being low. Please help me figure out which setting to adjust to stop this from happening, as it sounds like a slight bit of instability.

I filled out the template with all the settings just so you have all the information. Thanks for any help you can give on this issue!
