I never said they were all sub-optimal, spend more time reading what I write.
Intel by choosing to use 32nm to bring more cores to desktop users instead of higher clock speeds that a Quad could deliver in the same power envelope, is clearly not bringing forward the best product they easily could for desktop users.and EXACTLY how you would have designed them better.
Do I need to explain any further why the overwhelming number of desktop users would have been better off with a 32nm Westmere Quad clocked higher than what a 32nm Westmere Hex will be?
