It says Saaya because an ex-admin changed it to Saaya which you'll get as soon as you see a Saaya thead. The guy can have up to 20 posts per reply.

Orange loop leak testing and filtering

    Here's a rundown of the last to-dos:
    -Finish the EPS8pin cable. Done
-Paint a few 3/4" p-clips black (could only find white ones locally). No need, bought some black ones elsewhere. I'm pretty happy with the back of the mobo tray.
-Prep + paint the optical drive. I'm debating whether to DIY or take it to a powerdercoater. But since it's only a DVD-RW waiting a the Blu-ray upgrade I'll probably sand, prime, spray, and clearcoat myself (or bianco could volunteer to do it for me...?) In progress
-Flush and fill, run through Pentek filter and leak test. In progress
I should have used teflon tape on the Pentek filter nylon barbs. Every so often a drop leaks out and a bubble forms inside. Oh well, at least this isn't a formal bleeding. Good news is the EK X-Res bled out all the large bubbles in just a minute or two.

Oh and the drain valve works just beautifully.

My apologies for the poor angle and shallow DOF. It was a hasty shot and I am not ready to reveal the rest of the build yet. All in good time.

btw, i am quite amazed on how uniform your heatshrinks are! it looks like you have found the best length for the shrinks! how long is each shrink? thanks bro.
I ordered some from Chilledpc-UK, I wasn't about to buy a bag of 100, about 20 is more than enough.

As for the heatshrinks, I cut and filled a ziploc bag of about 100 pieces, each exactly 3/4". The trick is to find out, for the thickness of the heatshrink you're using, where to end it and still be able to tuck it into the crimp housing.

For me, this works best (quick 'n dirty PnS photo):

Do it the same way 22 more times and you get a sexy uniformly sleeved ATX cable.

Nono, it just happened to be a black wire i was sleeving. The heatshrink ends where the crimp "fins" begin.

Though I suspect that might work, too....

Just in case there's any particulate matter left in or gotten into the loop since I started.

After disconnecting the filter I opened it up and found 1 black speck and 1 dead ant.

And vice versa my friend. I still have about a hundred of 1/2 and 1/4. The additional ones I ordered are 3/16, 3/8, and 3/4. Let me know if you happen to need any of those, I should have extras.

Yeah looking back I did a lot of work on that case. My worst mistake was taking too long to get all the pieces to the powdercoater, and that was holding EVERYTHING up. In the end I lost the "gumption" to work on that case any further, and the project took a very different turn.

It was also a case where I wanted a single CPU/GPU loop, 1 PA120.2. And then that wasn't enough I wanted a triple rad. And then THAT wasn't enough I wanted 2 loops, etc etc...

    Small updates and observations

-Both loops passed leak testing, hooray.

-X-Res is a bit of a b-itch to fully bleed, even with the anti-cyclone plate installed (the one with a hole in the middle). Millions of tiny bubbles stick around the inlet and anti-cyclone area as well as the inside of the acrylic tube. Hopefully it's just a matter of time before they're released.

-I'm currently working on a 1/8" aluminum plate for the front drive bay area. It should be a nice way to stealth drives on MM drive bays. Some more grinding, sanding, and soldering to go...

-Some new case feet too for you anti-wheel guys...

-Looking for plus-size stockings (for an intake filter) is an awkward task...

Ok let's work something out. I have more than enough of 1/2" and 1/4".

    A short disappointing update

I sent in an RMA request to Koolance.
While TMS-200 (rev 2.0 PCB) is connected, upon bootup there is no pump and fan activity. After following installation instructions and connecting the USB cable, there is still no pump nor fan activity. TMS software (2.1.18) scans for about 2 minutes followed by no connection. Also, rear LED is not lit.

Tried externally with a spare PSU. After several tries managed to get 12V out of pump1 and pump2 (on TMS200EB) connectors, however still no power from fan channels. Rear LED still not lit.

I don't know what is causing these problems but I'm not happy with booting up with still pumps and fans. Please look into it, thanks.
Now the RMA is approved, but it sucks that the whole process will take a few more weeks from the time I mail it out to when I get the fixed one. Sigh...that will hold things up significantly.

Now I have a hastily soldered a 6 way splitter for rad fans and a 2 way splitter for pumps. The whole thing runs just beautifully but it's frustrating having to wait even longer to put on the finishing touches.

The thing was ordered in April. The lesson here is test your components as soon as they arrive. It may save you some headaches and delays later on.

    heya Kibbler!

that run of tubing from the filter to your loop... how did you get it to stay in shape like that... it seems "planned" shape, not jsut a length of tube... right?
