K, so the PSU is sleeved, but in my haste I forgot to mark the wires, so the end heatshrink has to come off one at a time tomorrow so I can plug the 24-pin together correctly- once that is done I get to embark on the hardest wiring task of this build which might actually take me a few days to get right

Less talk and more pretty pictureslooking forward to an update
And the famous last words,
This wont take that long![]()

My girlfriend.
"It's easy to get sideways at first thinking there is ONE BEST product for each area of water cooling. But, that's not always the case - depends on your exact setup and needs."

lol, so if every time I referred to this project, I referred to it as projectwhat would you guys do?
(yes I am very bored at work)
Holey Moley! Seriously looking forward to seeing this build in all its glory
How long have you been doing this kinda thing? -if ya dont mind me asking![]()
Thanks man
My first mod was a painted gamecube console, Red casing with black accentsI thin painted an Xbox case, and I also bought a crystal edition xbox in france in 2005 and installed a 80mm cold cathode around the xbox logo Jewel
If you count from the beginning of my LC endeavours - back in 2006 I had an Optie 165 @ 3ghz under a thermaltake bigwater 735, with a real LC system in 2006 based on dangerden parts
Modding Wise, my first aesthetically oriented build was in 2007 with a PC101A. Last fall I said to myself "I am going to get on MDPC" and that was a success with Permafrost by January of this year, and now this project![]()

So I got an email from Lamptron today that my Fan controller is finished and about to ship! here are pictures from My contact at Lamptron![]()
This design is based on the Lamptron FC3 fan controller which can be found at many fine retailers:
http://www.lamptron.com/product.php?p_id=58
The funny thing about this is I made two designs, the first was originally deemed un-manufacturable, but they have got some really Smart engineers and machinists over at Lamptron and they pulled off BOTH faceplate designs!
This is just one example of the extremely high quality milling and manufacturing coming out of Lamptron - Definitely give them a look for your next fan controller

Design 2:
Seriously I cannot thank Lamptron enough for their receptiveness, great communication and most of all the High Quality Custom parts they made for me!![]()

PSU Pics: dont mind the cluttered look, I have about 800 P-clips of various sizes to make these wires straight as a ruler and very very hidden

I thought you weren't sleeving this one?
edit; design 1 looks sick, hope that one your going with![]()

Project Millertime: The Core I5 build
Crunching/folding box on air: AMD Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition; Sapphire Radeon HD 4830; Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H; Lian Li PC-V351; Windows 7 RC
Aw, FREAKING awesome if I do say so myself! I can't wait for my next upgrade so I can do the chop, cut, rebuild routine
EDIT: And what, may I ask, are P-clips?

2x Crucial M4 128GB R0
WD 1TB Black
you wont see any of these sleeves in the final productit will all become apparent in due time
thanks paulI think the sleeving sould have come out a touch better, but it will suffice for being hidden behind everything.
indeedthey are kinda expensive at the larger sizes actually, but worth the cleanliness
Update:
Hank Baron of Performance PCs was kind enough to sponsor me with this lovely Black Ice GTX 420 radiator; Following is the Unboxing and pictures of this masterful work of a radiator, it may have tight fin spacing but it sure does make the jaw drop.
The Box, nice to see something other than plain old cardboard on the outside
The Radiator Arrived in pristine condition, not a bent fin in sight with all accessories included
The included BP fatboy 1/2" barbs installed
The first fan with its extended wire and counter bored screw holes - I did all six fans on the drill press tonight and the wire extensions for all the fans should be done tomorrowso I will have pics of them all installed.

nice sleeving job, but what about the pa140.3 test sample?
Duality: Q9550 - P5Q Deluxe - 8GB OCZ - HD5850 - 4,64TB WD - HX650 - X-fi - Aquaero 4 - Lian Li V1000b II Plus @Dual loops watercooling
Loop 1 => DDC18w w/ EK X-top V2 - EK Supreme HF - EK FC5850 - PA120.3 - Multires 150
Loop 2 => DDC18w w/ EK X-top V2 - PA120.1 - MIPS mosfet 1&2 - mips NB - Mips Ramfreezer 4 - MIPS SB - Multires 150
So I got all of the fans sleeved and extended last night- hooked them up on the rad and DAMN push-pull really is all its cracked up to be.
-With just 3 d12sm 12 on this rad I was getting very very low airflow through the radiator - like 15CFM if I had to warrant a guess.
-Now with all six fans there is nearly (very very close) open air CFM flowing through the radiator and nearly NO increased noise level to boot. even at the full 1400rpm these things are damn near silent - each fan on its own is comparable to a 1850rpm GT. Next we will get the lamptron FC in there and really get
Wiring updates tonight, I am half way done with 24-pin![]()
Looks good so far. I like your custom fan controller ... is it working okay (as in no whining when it's turned down from 100%?).
Now hurry up and show us your wiring solution (please).
I have not received the fan controller yet (not my pictures, lamptron's) it is currently on DHL international express to me
Unfortunately I have this thing that I go to during the day from 8-4:30 Monday thru Thursday, I think they call it a yob or something.... anyway, its really obstructing my modding time....
