@OC Nub,
how much voltage do you set on the nb?

Thank you for the info.
My goal is a fsb of 500 Mhz by using the 333/800 strap (=4:5 divider) to get my G.Skills at least on default (=600 MHz=DDR 1,200 MHz).
Before this DFI I had a ASUS board with a X48 chipset. A X 48 isn´t really made for quads. For a fsb of >460 MHz using a quad you had to fire more than 1.5v to the nb. That´s to much English for a 24/7 setting.
The P45 chipset doesn´t need so much vnb.
However about 1.45v should be right. I will try in the next days.

Thanks Hoss. Was shocked when I saw the vid.
Yeah OC Nub the chip is very nice, much better than my C chip.What have been your highest load temps so far, and is this air cooled or H20?
With my silent red wing fans push/pull, max temp has been 69C at 1.368v.![]()

@OC Nub,
you told us in you last post that you set ~1.44v to the nb to get a fsb of 480 MHz stable.
How hot gets your nb under load?
Do you cool the nb by air or H²0?

This board doesn't have a sensor for the NB. I use a 120mm fan to help cool it. only reason it needs 1.44v MCH because of the 4:5 divider, at 1:1 it takes 1.36v MCH for 500fsb.
I am using an infrared thermometer (TFA Scan Temp 380) for places where I don´t have a sensor.

Thanks Lenny, Highest I have seen at these clocks after 8hrs prime was 64c on 2 cores. My sensors are bugged on 2 cores so IDK how acurate they really are. It is on water cooling. This is my third 8 hour run at this oc, I had changed a couple settings last night and it became unstable so I tested again.
Hoss: Thanks, I will try that MCH program.

These C Q9650s seem to be good chips, some extremely nice with low VIDs, but not for air cooling if ya know what I mean
5010 just got himself a "golden" L847C - it has 1.15 VID, does 4GHz stable on 1.17 and 4.125ghz on 1.19v![]()

I refuse to participate in any debate with creationists because doing so would give them the "oxygen of respectability" that they want.
Creationists don't mind being beaten in an argument. What matters to them is that I give them recognition by bothering to argue with them in public.
4hours (or close enough) Prime blend 4.4ghz. I took my OCZ LV1.8v ram out and put my GSkill f2-8500CL5D 2.1v kit in. Forgot to set ram voltage back to 2.1v, started Prime up and has been running at this voltage stable. I am running 1:1 so maybe 2.1v is not needed?
Thank you Sergio for your help on MSN, you have been a huge help to me in learning this board and getting settings right to become stable.

Thanks Sergio. Great job with your 4500mhz. Its hard to Prime a low VID chip at over 1.4v even with water as you know. I think I have reached my limits also with temps in Prime.
Vivid, I hope you will try the Gigabyte UD3P or UD3R board when you are done with your DFI. I believe you will be able to do much better and possibly with less voltage using the Giga board.
