Now I'm not blaiming the mother board because the software isn't completely the same, but it is close. The major difference is the Asus had a warez xP while the Abit is an official xP and the Abit has the paid for version of AVG running.

Anyway are people in general finding the Abit to be a very stable board or are others having to reboot every once in a while? I am asking because I am considering upgrading the abit to a Q9550 +4mB Ram Gskill and maybe a fresh OS install. But I don't want to do that if I'll still be fighting stability.

So I wanted others opinions, is this IP35-Pro a rock solid stable board ?
I've been on this board for quite awhile and I'm happy with it. If it gave me much grief I wouldn't have it. Like any other decent mobo, once you get things tuned for your CPU and RAM, etc. it just does its job.

A lot of probs with C2Ds and Quads I think can be traced back to GTL REF settings, which can be tricky to get right. But some ppl not knowing that will blame the mobo.
