oradd: This download includes a couple of different tools. Try running i7 Turbo V8 so you can see what multiplier each core is reporting. It's a different program than TurboV.
With 4 cores enabled in the bios, a 22X multiplier is certainly possible when lightly loaded but usually the 22X doesn't stick for very long. A lot of what you see is reporting error by CPU-Z.
Post a screen shot of i7 Turbo V8 beside CPU-Z when lightly loaded so we can have a look.
That would be beyond a miracle into the impossible. The only way you can get a 22X multiplier from a Core i7 920 is if 3 cores are disabled in the bios or 3 cores are inactive and sitting in either the C3 or C6 sleep state. It's impossible to have 4 cores active at 22X for beyond a couple of microseconds. As soon as two or more cores are awake and active, the multi for all cores automatically drops down to 21X.Can you run i7 Turbo tool to see if all the 4 cores are running at 22x? That would be a miracle!
funkypunk1985: Hopefully you can do some more testing with bios 0006 this weekend. Post a chunk of the i7 Turbo log file if you see some suspicious numbers. I'll contact Asus if you are having a problem with turbo throttling still so they can get this fixed for the Xeon chips.
