Thank you Sergio. I am running 2 gpu's, I will try it with a single 4890 to see how it compares.

    I think that is the Q9650 1024M record.(until Jor3llBR sees this thread)

The screen shot looks horrible because I was using 256 color mode. It gives a very slight boost.

nice chip. mine does the same 4.2 @ 1.29. Curious if you've tried for higher clocks and at what voltage. i've been happy at 4.2 with a pretty low voltage so i haven't touched it for months, but wondering if you've tried higher clocks with around 1.35v.

My chip is also very similar - I currently have 4.3GHz stable at 1.3625 in bios, 1.368 load in CPU-Z. It all depends on the voltage curve of your chip... some chips that do up to 4.2GHz below 1.3v aren't necessarily good with low volts beyond that frequency.

I am trying to get 4.3GHz stable at 1.35 and i think it's possible but it will require a lot of work with clock skews and GTL voltages. Most reasonably good Q9650s hit 4.3GHz around the 1.35v mark, give or take.

    Hello,

I tried to overclock at a higher level than 4200MHz.
Unfortunately it was necessary to increase vfsb, vcore and vnb and I'm quite afraid of it. ^_^
Moreover I'm trying to overlock another cpu at the same time.(E7400 @9*445 for the moment @1.288v )

Tested a single 4890 to see how it compared to these guys GTX285 cards. Had to go way up on the core and mem to get this score.

So, I've never seen a CPU with a batch number having a C in the batch number.

Lenny, I see you have a L846C over there, and it has a 1.225 VID.. thats a sweet VID, that is what I want.

There is a guy I know selling a L847C.. that is a recent Q9650.. I might buy it but not sure what to think of the C. is C better than B as it's on a denser part of the wafer? a, then b, and now C since there is more room using 45nm chips? or what? I don't know. Also I recently bought a Q9550 with a L844B batch date, and sadly it had a 1.300 VID. I was not happy. but it wasn't for me. I want a Q9650.

    Let me know guys.

I also just tried to run this Uningine thing or whatever you guys are running, and I got some Nvidia GTX 260 error.

I think it is because I'm running SLI.

edit* Nope, I just disabled SLI and it still gave me the error, any idea's.

    wow... Nice work there Sir.

I can't get that game benchmark thing to run.. the uningine.

Also, I found a good L837B to buy.. anything good on that batch, better than L845 right
