The exact same happened to me, couldn't get my board to post after shutting down the night after bios update. I just disconnected everything except of cpu, vga, one stick of ram, keyboard and mouse...and it helped, got it to post and switched to the shipping bios and all fine now... in my case it was some sort of memory compatibility issue... So, yes it could be memory related in your case...
If you haven't already, try the same as I did...It could help...Good luck man...

Hey! Do i need to buy an E-atx case to make this MB fit? Trying to find a alu case with good cooling and no sidewindow. And not the biggest mother out there either. Thinking of Lian Li but not so easy to get one in Norway.
Any tips?
Akando, I am using a large case (Tt Armor+ Alum) and I have lots of extra room. I am looking at the REII mounted in there as I type this and I am sure it will fit in a much smaller case.
Here is a pic that will show you how much room is still available.

hello
Having problems at boot, I test different things
if I put the sticks on slot A1 only or slot A1 and B1 that boot,
if I put a stick in the slot C1, boot hangs on DET DRAM, have to reboot (overclocking failed, press F1 to enter setup) I go in the bios, I touch on nothing, reboot and it's good
if I put the sticks on slot A1 and C1 it not boot (stuck on DET RAM)
it will be the slot C of the motherboard which would have a problem?
thanks

Be sure you are using slots A1, B1 and C1 not any of the number 2 slots unless you have more than three sticks of RAM.

Tks, but as I thought the problem was with bios 1406!
I flashback to BIOS2 - BIOS 502 (using the flashback option in BIOS), and then flash again using EZ-Flash utility, to BIOS 1306!
All my problems gone, and now even TurboV (v10016 and v10041) are working well!

If the mobo tray fits a standard ATX board but tightly with no additional room between the HD/front drives housing and the mobo, then chances are it wouldn't fit the R2E. It is about an inch wider. Also, if your case has a removeable mobo tray that has been carved up to fit a standard ATX board nicely (ie: Thermaltake Shark), then the R2E won't go in there. It's too wide to fit. How do I know? Well, I owned a R2E before and it didn't fit my Shark case.

I had a bad stick of Dom GT Ram. The three sticks all worked well initially then I had failures. I was able to isolate it to one of the three sticks by using one at a time. Corsair replaced all three with a new set. They cross shiped so I had the new memory in just a few days. While I was waiting I just ran the two good sticks (4 Gb instead of 6) Corsair was suprised that there could be bad GT but they agreed with my test results and provided excellent service.
The new set has been running trouble free.

I may be the same problem but I am not
What test did you do to find out which stick was defective? Memtest86+, etc...?
I ask myself (see post above) if it is not a slot on the motherboard that a problem...
stick on A1 => ok
stick on A1 and B1 => ok
stick on A1, B1 and C1 => DET DRAM at boot
stick on A1 and C1 => DET DRAM at boot

All I did was try each stick in slot A1 with the others not installed. Two of them would boot and one of them would not. Then I kept one of the good ones in slot A1 and then tried the other two, one at a time in slot B1, one of them would boot and the BIOS would then show 4 Gb, with the other one in the system would not boot. I then put the known good two in slots A1 and B1 and when I added the suspected bad stick in slot C1 the system would not boot. I then took all memory out and tried the suspected bad stick in all "1" slots, the system would not boot. My assumption was that I had identified a bad stick and Corsair agreed and replaced the entire kit. Until I got it I used the two good sticks (4 Gb) When I received and installed the new kit the system booted and showed all 6 Gb.
Since it was a clear non intermitant failure I did not mess with memtest.

Cooler Master CM Stacker 832 Black is on 30% off sale now. This is a good case isent it? Or should i get the Cosmos s?
ok thank you for your answer
I do the same, tested each stick in slot A1 is good then tested each stick in slot B1 is good and in the slot C1, it hangs at the ROG logo or DET IDE, etc. .. .
if I put the 3 sticks, it hangs on DET DRAM, I reboot and it's good
it will be the motherboard (slot C) who died?
thanks
PS: the 3GB of RAM is recognized in bios and in windows
