    Yah, I'd say that too
From what I heard how high the actual 06 top score is, it ain't even worth running for awhile lol

Hey whats up with this hwbot crew...

"For those who don't know - Hwbot now officially supports Liquid Helium cooled setups"

Whats up with that?? Perfect timing eh? Not sure thats a good call really...

Why wouldn't it support cooling to the lowest temperatures if the hardware can support? That would be the same as limited the voltages you could use on the hardware simply because not every manufacturers chips could handle the same extreme voltages as the others.

When it comes to cooling and voltages, anything goes, no limitations. Isn't that what this is all about anyway?

I don't know if they officially supported it before or not, I didnt submit my helium results when I had the number one hwbot 05 and 06 on helium because I thought it was super lame..no other reason really.

Supported is not the correct word, it just means Massman added a new cooling category that you can choose when submitting a result.

    Ah,
I was just curious, didnt know
    Interesting,
Oh well, still great achievement, people didnt see AMD getting to 7G first with quads a year ago!

Just added another cooling category to differentiate the LN2 from the LHe results in the database.

Hehe..first I did not even have a clue what you guys are talking about. Massman added a new cooling gategory. Cool!

Of ourse we support liquid helium in HWbot. It is just one cooling method.
You are as good as your samples are!

Yah I get all that believe me But I thought hwbot is supposed to be "the place" where we keep the playing field as level as possible where we can. 99.9% of most overclockers can't afford helium and never will.
So if the overclocker F1 rules are in line with hwbot, that means we will be able to use helium for F1 comp too , I'm down because I just found a reasonable source locally for it

But is this any different from having a superior support by some company? I don't see what is the problem in this really.

We got a chace to test Lhe and some others can have a huge amount of hardware for example
You are as good as your samples are!

hey its your call man what you do with your results, just like I can do what I want with mine (which is not submit results to hwbot that others don't have much of a chance of beating). You don't have to justify to me what you do with them. I know what you will do already
and I think getting a lot of good and rare ES samples + a VERY expensive coolant to bench them for FREE counts as superior manuf support dont you?

OK. This time I don't have any personal LHe results, so there is nothing I can post

believe it or not, in SA we have 2 companies that do LHE, we are planning a mega session of our own,

i dont think cooling to -250 is a prob, if you have the money and a decent retail you can by all means upload to the bot. andre spent some money binning xeons for the sport he loves, to get a good one (just like all of us), im almost sure for the same amount of $ he could have gone phenom and some LHE for the same results, so its the users choice, bin some i7's or go for a mega run using Helium, where the helium run is actually a huge risk, no 32m wrpime or am3, but a chance to get 2005 and 2006
    !
uploading twkr would cause some smoke though from users, cause not everyone has access to that, even though THEIR FREAKING AWESOME.

But there will always be a better retail out there, always! it happend with E8600, it happend with i7 (or pretty close), it will happen with phenom im sure! or has

Dang your a player kid! Doing helium out of your own pocket..not doing too bad then I guess eh?..
Ok I get ya, it's not the cooling or who provides it you take issue with but the ES/twkr cpus themselves.
Big reason why I bring it up is because THEOVERCLOCKER sent me an email with details regarding the F1 comp this morning, I think it starts soon. Nick said they would be going by HWBOT rules most likely so things are looking good for big AMD #'s on Lhe then

Things don't look that much different than they did before I added that category ... it's not like we ever prohibited LHe results on the bot.

    Next time I'll write:

"For those who haven't tried changing the type of used cooling method to LHe or for those who did but were unable to do so due to the lack of an option to indicate it, good news: Hwbot has added this cooling category, so now the database will be more correct since LHe results will not have to be tagged LN2 anymore".

LOL, now I wonder who tried to submit lhe results but ran into that issue
Its more than just that, the official statement from hwbot crew is important for clarification for F1 Overclock I think because they are going to go by hwbot rules from what it sounded like from Nick.

Well done first of all SF3D, some nice results there from all that attended this event, AMD have come a long way with MHZ the can do now, but if Lhe has to be used to get the most out of these CPU's then is this not a bit off limits to all the benches out there due to the cost of this cooling method.

I can understand why AMD would stump up the cost of buying Lhe to show how fast there CPU can be clocked but for even the best bencher to try and compete on his own level of expenses this is way off limits purely due to the cost of this stuff.
Anyway we can all see here now who will take the AMD crown in the F1 competition, it's a shame because even though everyone has the opportunity to run Lhe not everyone can afford the cost of this stuff.

Back on track though well done guys to all that attended the AMD event it looked like a good event.

The class has been added some time ago. Actually, it has been added ever since I knew the stock frequency was 2GHz.

I added this category MYSELF because:

    1) I think it's better to split up LN2 and LHe since it's two different things
    2) I wanted to know if the new Hwbot admin page worked perfect

Don't, really, don't jump to conclusions!
