    I bought it on ebay and the seller got a replacement from his supplier under warranty - could have been an "official" Intel channel.

    yeah some P5Q are rev A3 and mostly they run better than the MF2

    i think people are confused.getting 4Ghz on the maxII and P5Q-deluxe is indeed easy.its the 500fsb and beyond with a quad that those boards cant seem to do.(some have done it but with great great effort).
    so the gigabyte cheering should continue Quad+UD3P/R=500fsb heaven

    well yes, I consider that is one of the best motherboards for overclocking quads but Im not a fanboy.
    If hes happy that he achieved his goal with that ASUS motherboard, then good for him, thats all that matters
