    i really need to try going over 1.4v on my chip and see what it can do.. even on the 750i. as I've not put it in the EP45 i got yet.

    Looks like a good kit.
    Can't wait to get it and see what the Q9650 can do then. =)

    hey everyone, i just wanted to let you know that my system passed 8 hours of P95 and 20 passes of IBT and a few 3dmark06 runs successfully



    now with my watercooling, where should i go from here?

    Well inspired by my friend Jor3lBR i finally got stability

    Q9650@ 4608 (515x9) mems 1229 CL5 PL9 Standard Profile
    Hyperpi 4xSPI32 Room Temp 23C



    Can't prime this beast as its damn hot cauz its low vid 1,1875 but seems to do very well, i tested vantage and 3DM06 and some games and for last this 4xSPI32, will keep tweaking to see how low i can go on volts.

    Well my replacement under warranty came today, a very new chip, pack date 8th June 2009, FPO # L846C013

    No stress testing yet, just seeing how low I can take vcore before it refuses to get to desktop - started with 1.3v and below is stock volts in BIOS, 1.216 in CPUZ

    Keep in mind... my Q9550 E0 needed 1.4v in bios even to boot at 4GHz. That was a bad buy, should have gone for this chip straight away

    Here's what I set in bios

    vcore 1.225
    vPLL 1.52
    vfsb 1.3
    vNB 1.3

    all other voltages I left on auto. Whether or not this is stable is another matter (I'd err on the side of caution and say it's not )

    VID is 1.225, boots easily at 445x9 with 1.225 in bios. Next stop 1.2 in bios, which may not work

    4GHz @ 1.2000 in BIOS, not stable (no surprise there) but I got a photo of sub 1.2v



    One goal achieved, next goal is to boot at 4.5GHz

    Do you think it is safe (for cpu & motherboard) to run my Q9650 H24 @4.2GHz ?
    In the bios :
    - vcore : 1.3V (1.29v with cpu-z)
    - vfsb : 1.28
    - vnb : 1.26

    My computer :
    Asus P5Q deluxe (bios 1306)
    Q9650 (9*467MHz)
    2*2048Mb Pi Black 8500 Gskill
    Cooling : Ifx14-10
    Temperatures: in full mode, below 75°C under linX
