uhhh, I have no Idea how much liquid... Its 6.25" x 5.25" x 9.25" internally but it wont be fully filled when it is installed - 24 hours of cure coming up, then I am going to tap (I know I should have done this first but I didnt have the right handle :\)
Well everything looks extremely flush, it's going to turn out just fine for sure. From my limited acrylic welding experiences I've found 1000-1500 really does far better then anything much lower... then cleaning particulates before bonding of course. What grit sand did you use?

well to sand the bonding faces I used 600 grit and a 90 degree jig. Unfortunately it didn't quite square off the edges as much as I wanted, it took away the laser uneven surface but not the 1-2 degree taper. When I was bonding I just squared everything off and used the welding cement to flatted the edges for me. through visual inspection I dont think I will have any leaks but only testing will tell![]()
this stuff: http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=130& works great but you need a syringe like this to apply http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=170& (I used the small one)
Hey all, see this thread here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=229090 I will be attending the Nor'easter lan on august 1st in Wilmington mass.
Hopefully (thats a lot of hope because I dont know if I will be finished with the project in time!) I will have this case/project completed, at the lan on august 1st![]()
Feel free to PM me if your gonna come down and check it out
P.S. I have LOTS of work on the system done, just not any work that I can show you guys just yetI want everything to look just right when I present it.
Nice, I can wait to meet you there
Just got the side panels on the router![]()
Top of the case goes to the laser tomorrow and pictures when I actually have a spare second on sunday of the completed motherboard tray and nickel plated unicorn heatsinks.
this mod competition has just put me into over drive, its gonna start coming at y'all fast![]()
i was thinking about stepping up production and ordering some stuff to really set my SUGO apart to enter the competition, but if your gunna be there... I guess i can just spectate haha
Alright Sniipe, there has been a lot of talk but not much more in the pics department! I'm looking for some pics of all of this work.
Since it has come up in your thread, I really wish I had access to some decent photography lighting and equipment. It is very hard to take good pics of an entire case with just the light box and halogen lamps that I have. You can have an excellent build, but without a good way to take pics, it simply turns out looking mundane. It really takes a large background, which also takes studio type lighting with a good camera, all of which I don't have or have access to!

Hey pics are coming after I get things where I want - like for example right now the motherboard, waterblocks, and nickle plating are done - But I am painting something that cannot be left out, therefore i cannot take pics until I get it together![]()
likewise the PSU modding is set to begin and I just need to sit down and do it which should only take me one nightI promise pictures will start flooding in soon
I do agree that you need a good camera, but once you get that good camera and a decent lens lighting is a piece of cake, either use morning/evening light and a fluorescent bulb like Charles has done with his most recent photo shoot.
Can't wait to see some pics - having issues with picture taking myself, I have a Nikon 24-70 for this week and I can't find a freakin' piece of paperboard large enough for a backdrop...
