I bumped CPU-NB one point. Will see how that goes.

Are slots 3-4 more reliable or just being a different channel might help or ...?

slots 3 and 4 are the same channels A and B as slot 1 and 2.
only difference between 1-2 and 3-4 is the length of the traces to the cpu.
the longer the traces the more electromagnetic interferrences.
so slot 1 and 2 should be a little more stable if u really push ur ram.
