Cleaning grease out is a huge pain to me, I did it one time and said never again.

Use Acetone to clean out the grease and a can of compressed air to blow the stuff out. Then I use Q-Tips to clean around the edges and what not, but not in the socket ! LOL

Others who have done that a lot can please add in here what they do.
That's exactly what I do and really isn't a pain at all, the Acetone makes the grease a little solid so the compressed air blows the stuff away. Top it off cleaning inside the socket with q-tips and a little contact cleaner then your good. But DO NOT TOUCH THE CPU PINS that will make a huge ball of cotton that is a pain to remove
