ssd with ide connection

()... and would not mind spending around £120 for an ssd, but hadn’t counted on the hdd being an ide connection.



Maybe I would be better getting a faster hdd if there is such a thing?

Edit: the laptop forum rates the HM160HC - 160 Gb Samsung as one of the fastest 2.5" ide drives and its under £40.....its not like I'm going to be the one sitting around waiting for 12ms, so the samsung it is. Apart from latency the drive performance does not look too bad, so no need to feel too guilty and its a definate plus to what's in there now.
