I installed 12GB (6x2GB) of DDR3-1600 Corsair and I manually set the DDR3 speed to DDR-1600. CPUID says my memory is running at 9-9-9-24 2T timings @ 1.69v. I know on the packaging it says 1.65v. Am i ok to run it as is or should i lower the voltage? Also, since it is on AUTO in the BIOS, it has it running at the above mentioned timings, should I manually change them to 8-8-8-24 like it has on the packaging?
When using CPUID to measure the voltages, the DRAM voltage stays at 1.69v and VIN3 was at 1.57v.
When I did not use the XMP settings, set the DDR Frequency manually by selecting DDR3-1600, and I chose the Dram Bus voltage to be 1.64, the only thing that changed was the VIN3 in CPUID. DRAM still said 1.69v. It now registers 1.61v. So should I be using the VIN3 to determine what voltage is going to my ram? Is there another program i should use? My Bios doesn't tell me what the current voltage of the ram is.
XMP profile settings set the DRAM Bus Voltage to 1.66v and the QPI/Dram Voltage to 1.35v. I know the Dram Bus voltage is not recommended but what about the QPI voltage setting?
