Hey, I found a high FSB. Amazing what you discover when you keep on fiddling!

Is anyone else having problems using Memset? It worked fine with my Old P5K Dlx but with my new UD3P (rev 1.0) the "Apply" Button is greyed out and i cant change anything from within windows.
I have tried it on the F6 and F9 BIOS and i get the same issue, any ideas?

Hey dudes,
Time to defend your most-interesting gigabyte LGA775 mobos.
Check this thread out and vote for what you think is best :

I must say that those EP45 are so easy to get up to FSB 500 on a 45nm quad, I just love it.
Hereīs my EP45T-UD3P with Q9650 @ 500 4,0GHz and 2x2 Transcend 1800C8 @ 1600 777 21 tRD9 stable with LinX and P95 custom blend 4x900mb ram load.
and yes she passed all of them

Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z / FX8350 / G.Skill TridentX 2400C10 / GTX690
This is what I have so far with the blades. This is a custom large fft run with 1600mb of ram selected, same as what blend uses, instead of the 8mb that large fft would normally use. Vdimm 1.92 is apparently borked on this board or bios because it cant be set, its either 1.90 or 1.94. The weird part is 1.90 gives me 1.87 actual and 1.94 gives me 1.89 actual, basically what 1.92 would.

Looking good Hoss331
How are your bandwidth and Super Pi 32M at that speed, hereīs mine at FSB 500 4,5GHz ram @ 1600 777 21 tRD 9 Turbo, subtiming are all on auto.

o got it to run at 9x512@4608 w/134v but it failed after 59minutes
im going to keep messing with it,i know i can get stable with 1.34v

Great results everyone!
Have some questions to ask. The bios vcore's set to 1.33, but in cpuz, my cpu vcore under load's reflected as 1.30. Which is the true reading?
So i got my q9550 to 471x8.5 stable @ 1.3v (cpuz), but i suspect it could be lower - i'm still quite lost with all the mch/vtt settings. I noticed that at 471FSB, my chip is unstable as hell if my mch is @ 1.3, but once i bump the MCH up to 1.32, it runs 50 rounds of LinX w/o issues.
Any ideas how i can proceed from here to tweak the oc?
Here ya go, 500*9 @ 1250 5-5-5-15 PL8 in standard mode. Ill run it in turbo later to see if it makes a difference, last time I checked it was only maybe 1 sec faster than standard and virtually no difference in bandwidth. I only have the trial version of everest so I cant post the pretty blue benchmark screen. If you really want I can post pics of the individual tests, but its does 10423 R, 10640 W, 10789 C and 49.2 L.

Thank you, much apprecieted,![]()
really nice to see a DDR2 vs DDR3 P45 comparison with a Q9650 and 2x2Gb ram and both in Windows 7 RC 64bit, if Iīm not misstaken.
So 500 4,5 2x2 DDR3-1600 777 21 tRD9 does almost perform the same as 500 4,5 2x2 DDR2-1250 555 15 tRD8 with Super Pi 32M, itīs pretty close I most say and so is the bandwidth and latency.
Do you care to run some more comparison tests, we stay with the same CPU bus, clock and memory speed as in Super Pi, should be nice to have a test that responds well on ram bandwidth and latency, any suggestions.
My first run was in diagnostic startup mode with Windows 7 RC 64bit (less change to corrupt when run tests) but I did a rerun i normal startup mode to see if it was different but it wasnīt, it was within 1sec.
