BEST DDR3/775 Motherboard ....>specially the Foxconn BlackOps, any Quick feedback?

Hey, I have been looking for a 2nd 775 motherboard for overclocking, I have a GREAT Gig UD3P
NOW I see that the Foxconn BlackOps X48 LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail is selling for $119.99,
WOW, i thought that was a good price. It was also listed as the "Anandtech Editor choice & Top 5 3DMark ensuring OC Exp"
I am looking for a good OC'ing DDR3 motherboard, the boards I was thinking about are listed below,
the gig and the asus, but then i saw the foxconn. It made me think a new dr3 /775 board for only 120.00, not a bad deal, plus it's the blackopps,
i had one early and paid a fortune for it, but sold it before i could use it, But now i can get it at a good price. For the
$100 to $200 range what is the best DDR3 motherboard for overclocking....

PS> Someone can build a stocking 775 setup for cheap, i am amazed, but alas i am deep into i7's so only for the bench..

    It;s for this chip (E8600) CPUz and a X3370 and my ...

    thanks for your opinions... :rockout::roll::rockout:

I had a Black Ops and it was fussy compared to my DFI X48 T2RSB+ (though that happens to be one of the easiest higher end DFI boards to overclock and still performs great) and this was just with a dual. It would be happier under water, especially the Northbridge, though I really feel it's best as a niche benching board. Though that is a hell of a price though compared to all other X48 DDR3 options.

i did some searches for the black ops here on XS and found some pretty good results for dualcores.
and my 8 gigs are on the compatible list done by a member here, said they worked fine,so that sold it
for me and the price of course.

the Re is the best board out there for sure...

not sure if the blackops will reach 560 even, but im not sure, its amazing for quads.

if you are not heavily cost limited. Rampage extreme is by FAR the best 775 ddr3 board

    uuuuuuuuuuh...

why are we overlooking the gigabyte board ?

I happen to have -two- blackops and so far, solidly built stuff (apparently) .. but I can't say it's been the best or the easiest OC experience (on air!) for my q9650s. I blindly blame this on the x48 northbridge (90 nm ??).

However, I am _SATISFIED_ with the blackops because my goal was 4 ghz (on air) with reasonably semi-tight timings and I got there. ..and the fact that the mobo has two ps/2 ports and allows me to preserve my extensive and expensive KVM arrangement from yesteryear, with no fuss, is a plus .. lol

Anyone from the P45 (65 nm) gigabyte + ddr3 world care to share their experiences with say, Qcore LGA775 OC?

I hear those EP45 mobos are outstanding Qcore oc'ers.

    Here's the relevant gigabyte thread - http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=205132

The REX bios annoys the crap outta me.... but I suppose it would be the same with all asus boards so thats just a personal thing.

the gigabyte board is a P45 chipset, if your lucky you might get a gigabyte board that can hold at 500FSB + But not many of us are that fortunate to get something that golden. I would go for the blackOPs, For $120 what can you lose? If something does go bad RMA to newegg within the 30 days. As for warranty it has 3 years and foxconn makes a lot of mother boards for Dells and HP. Foxconn might be your next new favorite brand :P

REX all the way mate, The Giga will cap out due to it's chipset (P45 and DDR3 is really not a good idea) and the x48 can run way tighter timings on the rams then P45...

If it's just for 24/7 use any of these boards will do, if yo want to go for the high scores it's the Asusone to go for
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

ive used the ep45, the rex and the blackops... i lloved the blackops for the options, but she is finnicky with memory, the rex is just insane,.... REX gets my vote... ep45 is very nice, but lets face it the x48 is just a better chipset for the money
This is my signature, there are many like it but this one is mine..

    Definitely agree with these comments

The blackops is a credible 2nd place option though (IMHO). Can certainly get mine past 600 FSB

for 24/7, it doesn't matter one bit. but if you look at all the validations, the RE has a much higher validation counts than the other two combined. this statistics suggests something...
