    waiting for primochill

i am using Primochill Pro LRT in my loop with two drops of Nuke. I have sent a question to their support team asking for some more details regarding the "special Anti-Microbial formula helps keep your cooling loop pristine" statement in the description of the tubing.

I'll let you know when i have a response.

Pro LRT is not anti-microbial because it blocks light. As you mentioned, that simply wouldn't work because of reservoirs, but it also wouldn't work on clear tubing (available in LRT). There's something in there. You can roll the dice if you want to, but I wouldn't do it.
What is with your attitude? I never asked for your coveted advice you just put it out there.

I asked a question and you treated it like I was stating a blatantly incorrect fact.... and you dont even know what the tubing has for antimicrobial yourself so why are you acting like you know it causes a reaction?

A question for you SNiiPE ... do you know what your water temps were in your reservoir? I know you said your temps were in the 60s, but I assume that was the CPU?

If you're after a blue-ish tint, I've been running a 95% distilled, 5% G11 and 2 drops per litre PT Nuke (copper version). Check my avatar for the blue-effect you get.

Took the loop apart after 9 months and everything was like new.

    See pic (Fuzion v1):

    No ketchup required.

Looking in the tubes etc now, 7 months after that and the fluid looks as clear as the day I put it in.

never got my temp sensors installed so I don't know my water temp :\ yes that was the CPU temp @ load before the clogging began.

it really smells strongly of ethylene glycol for not having any in it.... when my parents walked into the kitchen while I was draining they instantly asked "why does it smell like antifreeze in here?"

That's exactly the point. I don't know what's in it, but I do know that it's not blocking the light, so rather than conjure up a hypothesis to support my pre-existing viewpoint, I take the safe road.

I specifically used phrases like "take a chance" and "roll the dice" because I don't know for sure.

The point is, I've seen these products used properly and they're fine. I've seen your loop and something went wrong in there. It could have been user error, or it could have been a manufacturing defect, but since we know that you've mixed chemicals in the loop, I'm leaning towards user error on this one.

The reason I would come in here guns blazing is because of the claim you've made in the subject of your post. You can't say stuff like that, man... You haven't confirmed anything, and I've never seen any evidence of an incompatibility between Feser Blue and the APOGEE GTZ. One of my co-workers is running just this configuration (based on my recommendation) and your post had him running home yesterday to check for disaster.

meh.... i went though almost ever variation in coolant.

theres a reason why i push straight distilled. And there was a reason why i made a big deal on us getting silver last year.

? If you read the post I conclude that the constant high temps had to be a major factor in the intense clogging I experienced for this very reason: we dont have mass reports of clogging GTZ's with feser fluid because most people arent using their machines that much.

No other parts of the loop are clogged in crap, all the barbs are clean except the ones on the CPU block so what exactly should I be concluding?

I know its toxic, but I don't have pets, they already died from antifreeze.
And if you carefully use antifreeze, it can't be bad for yourself.

I consider myself lucky I never had any gunk in my loop, not even a bit.

    Just look at that barb!!

And look what that did to my Supreme, no wonder my temps have gone from mid 30's to low 50's under load!

Now its just Distilled water an G11 for me
That was from 4 months of Feser Invisible blue

Heat does not cause a reaction. It can only assist it.

And I think you would be surprised to discover that the temperature of the water right next to the copper in the GTZ is within 1 degree of the water anywhere else in your loop.

This is not the cause of your problem.

That seems like a weird thing to mix it with. I guess the strong smell and colour of gatorade would cover it up?

As for toxicity, I asked my wife to come up with some firm percentage or amounts for ethylene glycol. This will at least give us something to go by.

    Hey snipe,
I can see what he is saying, even though he is coming across a little strong. Your post title is "Confirmed: Feser 1 Blue Premix + GTZ = do NOT want"

I can understand how that would scare the crap out of someone who is not an avid water cooler.

Concern comes if for some reason you have a bad leak where the loop drains and the pets get into it. If your going to use it, wouldn't use much
