It sounds like I got a newer batch. The controller doesn't whine but low speed fans do. I was under the assumption that the low speed fans didn't get enough juice which was why it made the sound but then again my controller didn't make a pitch so I guess it's fine. All the higher speed fans are fine though and this controller is not going to be used for low speed fans anyways lol

Hell, the internals shown on sidewinders and review sites. My fan controller internals does not look like that
What's printed (or possibly stickered) on your PCB? Both of mine were marked with "FC08-6624".
