I've been trying to get on board here for the longest (ask Loonym) to say thanks to all of you. Speaking of which, I forgot to add your name on my previous post M8 (must edit now)

I know, I know and I am truely sorry about that. There are a few around here that would be best kept on a tighter leash. I don't think all that pie talk is good fer youngins. Anyway just don't fall for the Pie Lie. Keep yer nose clean and crunch, you'll be fine.

Just trying to have some fun.

Here's some motivation for you guys..
How many machines in WCG? hundreds of thousands?
Here's the top five this week.
Yea, #5 is mine and at a piddly 3059mhz.
I've been screaming about the potential of these gainestowns and here it is in plain numbers:

And that is not a full week crunching as I had it down maybe 5-8 hours total to try some mods..

No way, those 8 socket Opterons can't be beaten by a Dual Gainstown, unless maybe at >4Ghz which isn't possible (yet). And even then I doubt it.
    Would need a Nehalem-EX really

BTW, my Dual X5450 is closing into the Top10 overall points per host range.. currently ranked #11 with 3 days to overtake #10

No, what your supposed to be looking at is the column marked "credit week"
Those above are 16 or 32 core optys and catching them isn't possible with 8 cores at this speed.
Now something like a unlocked W3580 with dual QPI and a bios thats got adjustments and I'd go after the top machine in a heartbeat..
Yea, I do love the chase!

Got my 955BE up and running now. Only 3.6GHz but I suck at overclocking this thing Going to try for 3.8GHz later but not crunching on my main rig drove me nuts

So now I'm up and running on 8 cores Will hopefully have more coming online in the next week or so.

hehe, yep, that video is mental

MSC is a memory manufacturer from Germany, mostly sells its stuff to oems, a couple years ago they launched a enthusiast brand called cellshock (which does not exist anymore by now), but the spd contained MSC, the name of the parent company.
