No way, those 8 socket Opterons can't be beaten by a Dual Gainstown, unless maybe at >4Ghz which isn't possible (yet). And even then I doubt it.You should be able to make it to second or even first place easily if you keep it online longer
Would need a Nehalem-EX really
BTW, my Dual X5450 is closing into the Top10 overall points per host range.. currently ranked #11 with 3 days to overtake #10

No, what your supposed to be looking at is the column marked "credit week"You should be able to make it to second or even first place easily if you keep it online longer
Those above are 16 or 32 core optys and catching them isn't possible with 8 cores at this speed.
Now something like a unlocked W3580 with dual QPI and a bios thats got adjustments and I'd go after the top machine in a heartbeat..
