Analyzed stored data of our selfmade prototype thermal probe logger. There was 380000 of independent measurements taken, for time more that hour, with scan frequency 91 Hz. Absolute tolerance was near 5°C, relative - little more than 1.5°C without much tune and using retail Voltcraft meter as quick reference. Sensing element used is RTD Honeywell HEL-705.
Our copper pot "Xtremelabs.org MAGNUM" is very massive, and holds temp very smoothy. Without pouring LN2, i7 965 at 4.6GHz warmup with speed 5 to 10°C during 20 seconds, depending on load! Loooong red line rise at central part of graph shows temps from -65 to -25 °C during 160 second, w/o pouring any LN, so we get speed ~+0.25°С/sec, with i7 965 counting SuperPi using 1 core.
Will post cedarmill results , if anybody interesting.
Some techincal stuff can be open, if anybody need.
Nobody wants to make big'n'great LN2 pot testing and measuring real heat capacity?. We have insane Q6700 B3, which gets ~300W of power output with loaded 3.5GHz ~1.6V only
