yeah i mainly use 1.57v Uncore, IOH is actually best for me at around 1.26-1.28v. I've been using 117MHz PCIe but i can use up to 126MHz i think or maybe 128Mhz cant remember.............didnt seem to make a difference

as you said you can run uncore even higher which is very encouraging for high NB speeds

i also found CPU Skew 500ps can help in some situations ~when fighting for the last MHz

i've run PCI and PCIe Nvidia card
also single and Xfire ATI 4870

    have you run 3D
what is your highest bus clock stable in 3D?

i'm at around 229 with this chip benching everything and 232MHz for 32M SuperPi

    Got tube?
    GIGABYTE Australia
Need a GIGABYTE bios or support?

I tried 106 PCI-E with the EX58-UD3R and it locks up with setFSB. Setting it in the BIOS won't let it boot at all. I have 260 SLI though maybe that's it. I thought I fried a hard drive but it turns out the SATA connector must've fallen off when I took out one of the video cards. lol

Geesh how did I miss this....maybe should be posted in GB x58 thread too, though may want to wait til new bios is released or a lot more will be wanting it

Sweet to see bclk at 235!! good job guys, did not really want to get another brand anyways...this board has been great as has GB support. Now if they would hurry up and release the i950...

if this can be consistent and also able to make it to 240/250 there is going ot be some serious owange soon

starts looking for a good W3540 heheh
Yep, I went from UD5 to Classified and UD5 seem much more stable for higher uncore. Can run uncore volts up to 1.65-1.7 no problem but you do this on EVGA Classified and the board powers down, like it's a safety feature or something kicking in...no errors even when windows reboots no errors.

    Really annoying problem with Classified.

I was afraid of that. No 222mhz fix without a hardmod

With regards to VTT board to board varying, remember some of the boards appear to be able to run more VTT, but lose some of that percieved voltage thru the under socket power grid (what is seen at the CPU is the important factor). Voltage monitor sensing will be at the 'high' side of the power plane. I don't have an Extreme here so have no idea what it drops from high side to low. I'll try and get soemone I know to see if they can find an under socket decoupling pad for VTT and compare the losses to the Classified.

What exactly you need to harmod to achieve 233?
