@ Chicken Patty ... I'll use that song if I make a video

@ Aielman - the pins look similar to the Corsair, it may be slightly different size in the connectors ... dunno.

Promised pics yesterday, but got sidetracked installing everything so I could at least test out the hardware. Took forever to do my Windows updates, as I had an old Vista disk with out SP1.

    A couple quick snaps:

I'm hoping it will look a bit better when I finish sleeving the cables

Not a great shot of the CPU water block ... its the NexXxus Bold Highflow X2:

Temps look good ... actually a bit too good, so I've asked in the AMD section for some guidance to make sure I'm testing properly. At 3.2GHz, CPU is showing 32 at idle, and 39-40 at load. So far tested with OCCT and Prime95. Ambient is about 23. GPU is low 30s, but haven't run any vid stressing yet.

Loop is set up as follows:

    MCP 355 > Magicool Extreme 240 Rad > CPU (BE 955) > GPU (4870x2) > Magicool Extreme 240 > XSPC Res Top

More to follow, my wires are beckoning.

Funny you should say that ... I was just thinking if it should be painted or not. I'll be ripping things down again before the final build, so it could be done

I can think of better songs than Blue by Eiffel 65. For example Blue and Yellow by The Used. Or Dark Blue by Jack's Mannequin which is probably more to everyone's taste (LOVE JACK'S MANNEQUIN!). Or She Paints Me Blue by Something Corporate! Well I suppose they don't repeat "I'm blue" over and over again. But the lyrics are that much deeper! Haha

OMFG there you are Nils! Was wondering where you'd got to

OK ... slightly OT here, but related to my building progress. Spent the last week sorting out closets and the garage, and now trying to organize the den ...

As you can see, a bit of a mess:

As I was sorting parts and putting them in the right place ... I came across this (after I had been rummaging around in the box!!!!). Apologies for the poor quality of the photo - I really didn't want to get much closer!):

Yikes!!! That was a pretty good size scorpion. And, as you can see from the first pic ... I've quite a few more boxes to get through.

yikes you sure do have some work cut out for ya. But hey at the end of the day when you know exactly what you have and where it all pays off . I just organized my room a few months ago and its much better. Easier to find the parts when you need them

GREAT IDEA - I'll send a few dozen your way

@ Kinghong1970 - not sure if that's the AZ bark scorpion, but sure looks like it. I've heard that smaller ones have worse stings. I've been stung once, by a tiny one - and I'd just as soon not go through it again.

Now I'm too traumatized to finish my work But, my husband isn't buying that, as he just spent 2 hours putting together 2 large chest-of-drawers from Ikea for my project.

I woulda died on the spot if it was a snake. Had a small snake fall on my head in Florida - almost had a heart attack. I imagine you've got experience with scorpions too - I know we had lots when living in Sydney.

Oh NOes ... another incomplete build coming from NaeKuh

Thanks, Rise - still trying to see if I can get rid of some of the 45s. Problem is, I'm using Tygon 44 whatever, and it's pretty stiff stuff.

I wasn't going to continue veering off topic, but after working most of the day, said "what the Hell" and figured I would share my progress.

Got all my stuff sorted ... here's all the cardboard boxes - not keeping ANY, as I just don't wanna go down the scorpion route again. This pic should warm the hearts of our online retailers, as most are from PC parts received during the past year:

And ... the den is now much more organized The room isn't quite that narrow - it's the wide angle lens:

I don't usually post my pic in forums, but ...

Hopefully tomorrow, we'll be back on track with Torture Rack updates.
