I'm happy that this is how it turned out. I was kind of expecting AMD to ignore the problem. But perhaps the same mindset that is working for their processor division ( interfacing with the enthusiast community ) has spread to other divisions. Even though overclockers are a small market segment, and the problem is an extreme corner case, they still listened and are redesigning the chip and board. I would suggest that far from the blunder that many have claimed, this could actually bode well for their reputation.
