No rampant and recurrent claims of cards locking up, quitting running, etc. Of course, there are the stray complaints of driver issues and Crossfire in certain games, but just as with SLI, neither brand is perfect with multiple card setups.

But having seen no similar and recurring complaints that span hordes of users of these cards, I'm beginning to suspect this is more a tempest in a teapot than a true issue, except by those that wish it to be. Otherwise, how can one dispute the huge customer base that uses ATI 4xxx video cards and have no issues what so ever with their use in gaming?
I'm having problems with my 4850, it is stock and never been overclocked. Far Cry 2, Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway and Call of Duty. I upgraded my system thinking it was anything but the Video card. So if it were only this test, I wouldn't give a flying flickering #uck but that's not the case. This test crashed on me even at lower settings. Maybe my card is bad.

I pulled the 3870 from my wife's rig. It Ran the test and all 3 of the Games perfectly. I have five computers in my house, they all have ATI video cards and I'm pretty anti-nVidia for the record. X800, X1800XT, 3650, 3870 and 4850.
