    Mikeguava breaks 50k in 05

Either I'm blind or I just can't seem to find a thread/any information about Mikeguava breaking 50000 points in 3DMark05?

    http://www.futuremark.com/community/...fame/3dmark05/

First of all Mike, huge congrats on breaking the magical 50k milestone

Can you share the clock speeds / settings / screenshot of this WR run?

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=4871079

I also have couple of questions:

    - Was this done with 975 high leakage CPU from Intel?

    - Is there a performance difference in 05 between 975 D0 ES chip vs 975 D0 retail chip? Andre Yang's 48,7k score is done CPU @ 5460 MHz, I wonder how high you were running the CPU.. +5,6 GHz?

Anyway, truly a sick score once again.

Usually this works best when the OCer himself comes and posts information.

    But congrats on the 50K

I know the soft that can tweak easily the 3DMark05 scores. So I can get higher 50k scores on system Phenom II 5GHz. But, I'm not cheater!

Someone just recognize the new WR if they see some pics................

Mike seems to be the quiet type from the one time I met him.
Not given to boasting, just goes to work and lets the numbers speak for themselves.
Also an infectious smile that lights up a room.
One of the people I was very glad to have met at Charles party in January.

I second that. I had the pleasure to meet Mike at GOOC and he is definitely one really cool guy. One of the true ol' school overclockers out there.

Great work on the 50K 05 score Mike

I would thing that the CPU clock is greater than 5.7GHZ judging from the previous 47K run and it might be the same CPU as well

and also FUGGER is on 49246 3DMarks with 295GTX and probably with stock cooling on GPUs , i call that more impressive

I agree with you Sir! I was lucky enough to had a chance to meet Mike at last year's Cebit. You could have talk for hours and hours, he's trully a versatile guy!

    Mike, once again - congrats!

Very impresive, congrats!. Been wondering why we havent heard much on this.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
