    Nope, still at 3060mhz....BUT maybe not for much longer..

    That's Lynnfield, which is not i7/Bloomfield as they are currently. It uses a different socket, and will be using the P55 boards, not X58.

    On the plus side, they'll have the same clock-for-clock as Bloomfield, cost less and have cheaper boards to boot.

    Edit: Actually looking at that, looks like Lynnfield is going to be both i5 AND i7, which is an interesting way to do it, and I'm not entirely sure how that'll work. Lynnfield has an integrated PCIe controller instead of using the X58, so as far as I'm aware it won't be compatible with LGA1366 X58 boards...

    Update on the gainestowns..
    Here's the little beasty showing how much 'stones" it has..
    This is using the "credit/month" tab to get a better representation of all the machines..
    Keep in ming that we lost power yesterday for hours and that killed my day there.
    I'll let you guess which is mine but it's in the top 10 and look at the beasts above me!

    how are you getting beat by a dual core though? and AMD opterons are really that good??

    If I had to guess - they are multi-socket systems that are not being accounted for.
