    From MCHTemp's FAQ:
    The sensor is not able to measure the temperature below a certain value (hereafter Tmin). Tmin depends on the specific chip, and typically lies in the range of 40 to 50 ° C, but in rare cases can reach 66 ° C. Tmin can not be determined programmatically, so MCHTemp considers it equal to 50 ° C.
