I have tested 3 sets of sticks in the gigabyte to be cooperative.....
A set of gskill rated 1600 9-9-9 1.65v ( they can do 1700 with tuning )
a set of elpida bugets rated 1333 9-10-10 1.5v ( can do 1400 6-6-6 with tuning + 1.75v )
OCZ animals which do rated specs 1600 7-7-7, my set seems to need 1.7v which is withing tolerance, rated 1.65.
Everything I have tried on the QVL list clocks really well.
High volt d9's or at least the set I have ( 2x1g ) do not cooperate as well.
I have not tried my other OCZ's because gigabyte does not adhere to jedec specs of 1.5v for ddr 3........and they like less than 1.6v which the board does not allow.....
Its quite possible you need to sit in memtest and tune your sticks.........yes I know its work but this is part of building your own pc and ocing.....not just shoot right for a frequency and go....
