    Nikon D60 + 18-55mm
    ISO: 400
    Exposure time: 1/5 Second
    F-stop: 4.0
    Focal Length: 20mm

My mother is in a choir and I chose to attend a concert of hers.

This was the first time that I used the camera so I had it on "auto" most of the time, as shameful as I am to admit it. The "M" setting doesn't allow me to turn off the flash, only a few settings do, is this normal for the D60? I find it extremely irritating.

I have to cheat, here is another picture that I took:

    Nikon D60 + 18-55mm
    ISO: 400
    Exposure time: 1/15 Second
    F-stop: 3.5
    Focal Length: 18mm

@InCore: I'm afraid I don't know anything about Nikon's cameras. But "M" should normally be "manual" where you change aperture and exposure accordingly by yourselve. Regularly you got two more modus that might be interesting, TV and AV (dunno how they are called by Nikon, those are the names of Canon). When you choose the first one your shutter is chosen automatically, if you choose AV your aperture is chosen automatically. So imho you should choose between these three oportunities depending on what is important (shutter time or depth of field), or how much time you've got. When I've got more than enough time I choose "M" and play with aperture and shutter. Maybe you get effin' much pictures afterwards but what's the problem with digital cameras? I often taken five, ten or more pictures of the same motive just to be sure

Thanks Fisch and Drizz. I took some more water shots this afternoon, I'll post them later. My sprinklers were on so I figured I'll try to take some pics. Turns out its harder than it seems.

I've got that music from the end of the incredible hulk playing in my head. I like it

I just discovered it is REALLY hard to take pictures of the moon with a tree branch in the picture in the dark. It looks so cool irl, but I can't get the picture to turn out right! blah... I might post one of the shots that almost worked.

    Here is today

Next upgrade for me is a white table then
I'll buy some bird seed too and apply that to the table for better performance
And I'll lap the table with 200-400-800-1200-2000 grit to get a nice shine for the camera

Here's a Panorama I took of Zürich, the weather wasn't optimal but one can still see the alps in the background. I'd love to upload a higher-res image, can anybody recommend a good site?

Photobucket will let you keep the original dimensions, but it will resize the pic to a 1 megabyte file size.

I think tinypic lets you keep original size too.
