No my friend has Gigabyte X48T-DQ6...Also i have an Asus Evolution, i've tested there all the other h/w, it worked perfectly... As you know if you have RE, the Leds must light up when the power is on etc, as Cheapseats said...None of the leds were lit up, except from ROG Logo on the center... Also, the LCD Poster did not respond on the switches, it just keep counting all the time, i couldn't see the TEMPS or VOLTS etc, and also no CPU_INT were shown by the poster, as should be... I've tried to power up the m/b with the 4pin connector on 12V, no luck... Also tried to open it without cpu or ram, in that case i am sure that the mobo should warn me in somehow that there is no CPU or RAM on it... Nothing happened, no Leds were lit .. I've tried the same think on Evo, and a blue led near s775 and near dimm slots, were on and blinking ... The last thing i've done, was to leave the m/b out of the power and without the battary for a night... No luck, so i've tried anything, unfortunatelly i don't have right now a multimeter to check the real volts on m/b, anyway i think that it's dead , tommorow im going to return it i hope it wont take a lot..

can see you've spent much more NB volt, one I've tried.
maybe ? NB volt is solution to high FSB with QX

Hi, I have question about RE.
Why after reboot my RE dont want go same FSB like 1st boot?
I have 660fsb, then restart system and have bsod on 650fsb...with no change in bios. Anyone know this problem?

If that's the case, I think your board is DOA. Just for the heck of it, have you tried a different CPU on it?

Did you buy it locally or did you order it online? Wish you the best for RMAing it if needed. Hope it doesn't take too long to get a replacement. Keep us posted when you get the new one.

Not 100% sure, but I think it may have something to do with strapping...you changed the FSB, maybe you need to change the strapping as well?

no, I boot on 640fsb, then setfsb to 660(1st boot)....then restart...setfsb to 650 and BSOD

Hey guys, does anybody knows, which are the default values for the CPU GTLRefs on RE, for a 45nm cpu? 63x or 67x?

    Hello guys,

I'll be had the Rampage Extreme x48 soon and I looking around the best DDR3 ram for this motherboard. I'll use that memory to overclocking and daily usage also.

I just wanted to know that whats the best DDR3 rams for this motherboard but only 2000Mhz?

I also thinking to buy this DDR3 kit for my Rampage Extreme x48 soon. Whats their status on this motherboard but only 2000Mhz? Do you suggest that one?

Any answer would deeply appriciate for me.

    Cheers,

I would suggest a 1600-1800mhz kit, because as you said, you want it for 24/7 use.. Some from Corsair or OCZ should be great, and also they have great oc potential, especially some Corsair kits like this, or if you can afford, Dominator should be fine...

I wouldn't suggest a kit at 2000hz except if you are interesting on extreme overclocking, then see some CSX kits that have D9GTR chips, or Cellshock, especially the one with the blue heatsinks at 1866mhz..they are just great, but unfortunatelly extremly rare

I'll say, if you're looking for 2000Mhz DRAM Modules, you got 3 choices:

    1. D9GTS Based chips, capable of doing CL9-2000Mhz with around 1.9v
AFAIK Crucial's BE2009 model is equipped with this ICs.
    2. Samsumg HCF0 chips, capable of doing CL9-2000Mhz with lower voltage then D9GTS but not very good for extreme overclocking potential, still, cheaper. Most of the DDR3-2000 modules should be using this kit, like OCZ, etc.
    3. Elpida MNH-E Hyper chips. The most expensive one, but they're capable of hitting 2000Mhz with very low voltage like 1.6v.Also they're mostly come with 3 channel kits. If you may conside ugrading to i7 sooner or later by any chance you don't need to replace your dram module again. I'm sure Elpida ICs will still work fine on Rampage Extreme.

If you're looking for some cheaper modules that have great value, I'll say, crucial values most likely will give you surprise. Some of 2GBx2 modules equipped with D9JNM can do CL7-1800 without a problem while they're only rated at CL9-1333

    Thanks alot for fast replies.

Actually, my mainly concern is DDR3 memory compatibility of Rampage Extreme x48. I already checked the QVL list and it shows the slots as A/B/C, I dont understand that yet. It shows the DDR3 2000Mhz compatibility to the Corsair 2048 (Kit of 2) Box P/N TW3X2G2000DFNV (CM3X1G2000DFNV) only for B DIMM Slot.

I suppose I'll prefer to the Crucial 2000Mhz with RE x48 soon.

I also really want to know who using the Crucial 2000Mhz below with Rampage Extreme x48? Someone should use them before.

I think that's the same one as Crucial's. I have one of that kit and it worked just fine. This crazy kit can do CL7-6-5-18 1T @2000Mhz dual 32M PI pass w/ 2.1v. Of course this voltage is not for 7/24

Hey guys, I was just wondering; What backplate could I use with this board if I'm using the Heatkiller 3.0? The Xigmatek crossbow (used with the GTZ) doesn't work the the heatkiller mounting system.

Hi guys, I´m back and I have tried to get my RE stable with a Q9650 and some 4x1 Dominator 1800C7D.

So far I have it stable with LinX 25 loop (max problem size, max memory use) and 2hrs of Crysis (loop with Harbor Assualt @ 1600x1200 Very high) but it fail one or two cores within 5 minutes when I run Prime95 blend (4 instances).

Have tried a lot of combination to get it stable but none worked, any ideas anyone.

I can say one thing to you about your cpu temperatures. I do not know which equipments do you use with your system or loop but they are hot with your currently water cooling system. Because you do not give the 1.5 or 16vcore on it. It seems like 1.3-1.4vcore what you gave it. Your quad also 45nm, I cant think about 45nm if you have it LOL.

    Cheers

Note: I do not know whats your room temperature normally.

Have tried a lot of combination to get it stable but none worked, any ideas anyone.
