xEnergie, it is OK if it doesn't lead to instability, however you would better set "Load-Line Calibration" to "Enabled" in the BIOS, if you want to overclock - and you will get rid of the vDrop this way.

    Hi

I've just got the ep45-ud3p rev. 1.0 to replace my abit ip35 pro and I am having problems with overclocking my Q9550 (L837B542). The problem is that I can't overclock at ALL. Even if I set the fsb to 340 the board don't boot. With abit I was at 8.5*435=3.7GHz with 1,23vcore mch 1,44, mem@1044MHz with 5-5-5-15 everything else was at default. Any suggestions?

    My specs is:

from MF2 raid to UD3P raid

    Guys

I forgot to leave this comment, i asked that "if i have to re install the RAID 0 as i was swapping Maximus II to Giga UD3P", well the answer is NO, i had no need to do it, i just set RAID on bios and everything worked as a charm...

Also i did this from the Asus P5K deluxe P35 to the Asus Maximus II Formula P45 and same system still working on the Giga UD3P

    Cheers !

    Nice mate

But if i set 1,29+ on bios i get 1,264 vcore IDLE / LOAD not 1,248...my settings are on 1,28125 and gives me 1,248 LOAD and IDLE.

    Cheers

    Thanks.
I tried 1.2875v bios but failed on 7th pass, bumped it up 1 notch and passed. Have LLC enabled, still get a little vdroop but not bad at all. Pretty happy with the CPU now, runs great.

Nice results mate, I'm giving up on my EP45T UD3P; It only works fine with low voltage kits (read I7 kits at high speeds)
Once I put in a high voltage kit (+1.9v) the Vdimm goes bezerk and I can't maintain any stability... board had this issue form day one and an RMA might be the only way solve my issue
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

It shouldnīt be any probably to give it ~1,36 and about heat, if you donīt break 80C during LinX no problem, you donīt come close to that heat when you run Prime 95 small FFT, play game or rendering and if the CPU gets to hot it throttle down.

    Hi pangingIII

Nice memory sticks you have there.

If you remembered I had some problem with my EP45-UD3P, RMA it, they couldnīt fix it, got a new board, itīs working as it should, nice piece of machinery.

I found the problem. The problem was the Coolguard function of my Enermax. I changed my enermax with my old trust no-name 460W psu and ep45-ud3p clocks well now. So Enermax infinity+ep45-ud3p = NO GO! at least for overclocking.

Thanks. But i`m not so sure about 550+, i saw my vcore it took this amount to stabilize 500x8.5... but i`m pretty happy with 4.3 that will be my next step.

If I didn't had to pay a little 'fortune' to IRS in April I would definitely keep your G.Skills man

I'm sad the Quad family is losing one of its clockers thou.

After 4 months im now finally able to run 4 GB on my udrp. For some reason the combo out of 2 D9GKx with 2 D9GMh would never work. I installed the test bios F9d today and i thought what the heck i give 4gb another shot and try with 3 gmh and 1 gkx. It worked.

But i can't seem to find stability at 1200 mhz. what settings do you guys use? i have a q 9550, the ep45-ud3p and two GB cellshock 8500 (D9GMH), 1 GB Cellshock 8000 (D9GKX), and finally 1 GB of Mushkin 8500 (D9GMH) installed. So far i'm able to run at FSB 412 @ DDR2-1099 5-5-5-15 with 2,16v.

I'm interested what subimings you use in a 4x1 gb combo on this board and if you advance any of the memory chanels. And voltages for the NB and the FSB vtt for 0C at 4x1 GB would be neat.

    more bandwidth ...
