Have any of you guys checked the voltages on this board with a multimeter? According to Windows utilities like CPU-Z, my board overvolts vcore big time. Anyone else have that issue? And if so, what about VTT -- is it overvolted too? Thanks for any input.

Update to the P06 BIOS version.
For the Vcore disable Vdroom compensation.
The Vtt reading in the BIOS with the P06 BIOS is correct ( I mean the reading in the Hardware Monitoring menu ).

[QUOTE=INFRNL;3734416]UT. did you get your settings yet. can you post them for me as I am an idiot and cant get above 179 bclock no matter what I do.
please use this template (not really a template.hoping someone will make one and start a sticky for bios settings). I got it from someone on my thread

There are a LOT of 920's out there that will only get to that bclk or a little higher. I have 5 920's and only one will do 200+ bclk and 1 will do 195 or so and I think that is lucky! It does not matter which mobo you try, high bclk OC's are entirely dependent on the quality of the IMC assuming of course you don't have a mistake in your settings. I just hope the D0 stepping coming out will clock better than the chips available now.

I get the "No Virtual Drive" mesage as well but it keeps going and boots fine. I use this drive as back-up and storage and am not trying to boot from it. What kind of array are you trying to create with one drive?

Rookie mistake, was using 32bit drivers on a 64bit OS, DUH! Thanks for your responses B.

Um... can I ask why? I'm curious myself and wondering if I should wait to get a D0 stepping 920, or one of the current crop that's out there.

The only benefit from obtaining a D0 revision CPU is going to be the lower temps.

Anyone having S3 resume issues on P06? The computer actually turns off now on S3 as apposed to staying on in sleep mode in S1, but I still can't get back into Windows after waking up. Screen stays black.

Thanks for the info. It may be worth waiting for then, as lower temps are definately a good thing.

I have no problems at all with S3 and P06.
Are you sure your system is totally stable ?

Pretty sure I'm stable. Specs in sig. No OC errors in BIOS either. I'll try going back to stock and see if anything changes.

This is understandable and very possible, but my batch has proven to get very good results. I cant recall the batch off hand (3837B317, I think) I hope I didnt get a dud, I will be pissed. I think its just my lack of experience and could possibly be my supertalent ram. I will replace ea piece 1 @ a time if need be.
on a side note. I cant even run the ram settings on auto. I think auto only works for 133-? wont work at 150. I had to manually set timings to 9-9-9-24 just to be safe and get the system to run. Im hoping that different ram might help.

Thanks; I appreciate it UT. I will keep an eye out. Also I saw your recommendations and did not help any.
Hopefully later this month I will have enough money to buy a new mobo and cpu to do further testing.

^^^ Thanks again UT; I will play with it tonight.

Also I sent you and BZ a URGENT pm about ram recommendations. need to get ram here by sat withough paying overnight fees. Thinking Dominator or Mushkin 1600 ram, but not sure if its neccessary. other option is new corsair xms3 cl8 or ocz black xmp ram. Thanks

    ocz: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227388
    corsair cl8: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145236
    Dominator: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145224
    Mushkin: http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=730

EDIT: I do notice most people seem to be running the Dominators, and a cpule running the Mushkin...which make me lean towards the doms, but is a little more expensive than Mushkins

    Hi peeps

Is this the official Bloodrage thread ?? If not please point me to it as i couldnt find it with search

Anyways got one of these beautifull boards yeasterday and gotta say i'm in love. I actually gave it a kiss, gotta say did get a strange look from my wife

Anyways to get to the point i got myself i7 940 and 3x2 GB Dominators 1600MHz with the board.

    Now i need some help

Yes i'm a total N00B when it comes to i7 and setting it up in BIOS, i know its totally different to normal 775 boards but thats as far as my knowladge goes.
Should i update my boards BIOS to latest one out there, also is there any particular settings i need to keep an eye on just to be able to get it to boot up at normal 940 speed.
If anybody has examples of BIOS settings that would work with my specs i would really appreciate it

We all need to start somewhere, so all your help would be great before i get myself use to this board

I was just thinking about something. Being that I am rock solid @179; how often is a system solid and you bump up bclock 1 and get nothing. Anything is possible, but from my experience instability is gradual to a point. like it would start to get flaky at a certain point or will run for a bit then crash. I am going from rock solid to lucky if I can boot into windows just by bumping up the bclock by 1.

Seems to me that it would be something else besides the cpu. possibly ram, settings, or mobo.

I could go buy another cpu, but dont want to spend 300 when D0's are around the corner. I can also buy another Bloodrage locally or a competitors board, but not sure I want to do that either, lol. would rather find a deal on a used board or wait for prices to drop a bit more. I am hoping to have some ram this weekend, which will be another step in the process.
