I am getting the resource cd from Intel atm. What other drivers do I need to get for the SE7520BB2? I want to have everything ready for when all the parts show up.

Any chance you could put them on a cd for me? No big hurry on the HS. Family needs to come first.

It seems that this board reports itself as the same platform ID (0x0023) as the BD2 board, so it passed the platform compatibility validation that it runs before doing the firmware updates.

I haven't had much luck with the on-board RAID in linux though. It seems that linux sees it as JBOD and the RAID functionality is really just software drivers that are activated with BIOS commands? I would have expected a server board to have "real" RAID support, not the software junk we see on desktop boards.

Then again, the board is so cheap that I can't really complain too much.

The IO shield from the BD2 should get here early next week. I'll post pics once that part is in as then the build will be pretty close to 100% complete as far as hardware goes.
Let me know if the I/O plate works and where you got it as I'm going to order a bunch of them..

So did more 2000Mhz show up? I was reading the thread (and got to page 12) before I realized it was 44 pages long...

I'd really like to build one of these (Edit: or a couple if I can find the money), but it has to go at the end of my list. Would they still be around in 3-4 months or what would be my next best bet?

    Yeah, me
2x 2Ghz Sammies on the Intel board as well, for quite some time now. I think Sammy holds my machines' uptime record with something close to 3 months or so (on standard 32bit XP no less )

If you guys do a mass shipment for the IOshield to Europe, include one for me. Jaco will have to send me some, uuh, stuff, soon anyways
