1.225 is what mine uses for 4.05. Its almost stable at 1.2v and that actually may be work with lower temps.

1.225v cpuv is quite a bit lower than what most folks need for 4g.
    I have a 965 and I need just shy of 1.4v
most folks seem to need 1.3+ to get 4ghz stable.

Agreed. Less than 1.3V for 4GHz is quite good and most will not get this. Steve, go check out my pics in the competition thread

vcore syndrome, also try higher vtt ... 124 in BSOD are vcore, 8E are mem = VTT
IRQ are also vcore for the most.

I think I got a dud somehow. I dont know if its the MOBO or the CPU, but I cant seem to get it going.

    Im stuck at 180-181x20 with RAM @ 1080 7-7-7-19.
    185x20 = BSOD after 5mins of prime.
    (1.35v, 1.36vQpi, RAM 6x, QPI 36X, Uncore Auto/18X)

I have tried 200x17, 200x18 and 200x19 ... no go. Higher vCore, vQPI, PLLīs, ICH, IHO etc. doesnīt help a bit.

My temps are strangely low, even tho im running the stock Intel cooler. 3600Mhz 1.3v and prime load is only 65c.

Very low leakage CPU = very bad overclocker?

Anything I should know about the EX58-UD3R? Some kinks perhaps?

what voltage you giving your RAM? Set uncore to 16x, see if it helps.

    I have tried 1.500, 1.560, 1.6 and 1.660 Vdimm, and I have tried Uncore 16x.

ATM im running 180x20, Turbo enable, QPI 44x Uncore 18x, RAM 8x @ 7-7-7-19 @ 1.64v... rather strange considering QPI 38x wouldnīt even load Windows.
I was a bit surprised when it actually loaded windows and could complete a few benches.

If the 38x divider is somehow faulty my hopes for 4+Ghz are gone. QPI of 4400+Mhz is probably not going to happen.

Im about to run some prime now.

having QPI at anything over 4Ghz could really cause stability from what i've understood. can you lower it under 4GHZ?

AFAIK, Uncore multiplier should be twice as much as the memory multiplier; if RAM is 8x, then Uncore is 16x.

You mean instability above 4Ghz, right?

Since im only running 180 BCLK (44x) QPI is not yet over 4000Mhz, only 3960Mhz.

I can run 180 BCLK with QPI multi @ x36, but only with 6x RAM divider. Anything above 180 BCLK is no go, no matter what voltages or dividers I use.

16x times your BLCK for uncore.

what if you have memory at 8x and uncore 20x? Or does it HAVE to be 16x if memory is 8x?

Yup, and it fails if BCLK is over ~170 with 38x QPI divider.

Notice that your RAM is running at 1603 Mhz. If you multiply that times two, it is slightly faster than your uncore. Try running 190x20. This will keep your RAM running slower than uncore at 1520 Mhz. Enable HT and see if this works then.
